Bharti Airtel is offering some unique prepaid plans to its subscribers with 28 days validity, and there is hardly any plan challenging these plans out there

Bharti Airtel is trying to differentiate itself in the prepaid segment when compared to the competitors. In the process, the telco has introduced a new Rs 299 prepaid plan a while ago and also revised the Rs 249 prepaid plan. Airtel’s Rs 299 prepaid plan ships with free Amazon Prime membership worth Rs 129 for one month and it’s the only telco providing this benefit right now. On the other hand, the Rs 249 prepaid plan of Bharti Airtel offers Rs 4 lakh insurance cover- again something that’s no present in the segment.

Telecom operators like Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea are not providing any such benefits with their prepaid plans, besides unlimited voice calling, SMS and data benefits. So clearly, these two prepaid plans from Bharti Airtel ship with unique benefits. And they also come with unlimited voice calling, sufficient data benefit and 100 SMSes per day for 28 days.Bharti Airtel

Bharti Airtel Rs 299 Prepaid Plan Details

The first plan from Bharti Airtel which we are going to be talking about is the Rs 299 prepaid plan by the telco. On first look, the Rs 299 prepaid plan by Airtel seems like a normal offering which you would dismiss, but on taking a closer look at the benefits which this plan offer we come to know what’s unique. Firstly, the telco is offering 2.5GB data per day to its subscribers, which in itself is a lot of data as compared to other plans with the same validity. Apart from this, the plan also offers 100 SMS per day and unlimited calling. The validity of this plan is 28 days.

Now, here is the interesting part about this plan – the Rs 299 prepaid plan by Airtel ships with some major additional benefits which includes Amazon Prime membership, Wynk Music access, Norton Mobile Security for one year, Airtel TV Premium subscription and cashback of Rs 2,000 on new 4G device purchase. Including all of this under the price tag, the Airtel subscribers enjoy a lot of benefits beyond simply data, calling and SMS. The highlight among all this is the Amazon Prime offering, which is usually seen in postpaid plans. The availability of Amazon Prime on a prepaid plan is what makes this offering a very unique one.

The second interesting plan in Bharti Airtel portfolio is the Rs 249 prepaid plan, which ships 2GB data per day, unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day. While the general benefits of this plan are pretty standard, the additional benefits are the real deal with this plan. The plan bundles 2GB data per day with unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day. This plan by Airtel is popular for offering Rs 4 lakh life cover, term life insurance from HDFC Life or Bharti AXA. Along with this, the subscribers enjoy Wynk Music, Airtel TV Premium, cashback benefit of up to Rs 2,000 and Norton Mobile Security for a year.

Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea Lack Such Prepaid Plans

As noted, telecom operators Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea are not providing any such plans like Bharti Airtel. Airtel’s Rs 299 prepaid plan takes on the Jio’s Rs 299 plan, but the difference is Jio’s plan offers 500MB extra daily data, whereas Airtel’s plan comes with free Amazon Prime membership worth Rs 129. Reliance Jio does not have any Rs 249 prepaid plan like Bharti Airtel, but the benefits of Rs 249 plan by Airtel are offered by Jio at Rs 198 only. Vodafone Idea also has a Rs 299 prepaid plan which offers benefits for 70 days from the date of recharge, but it lacks behind Airtel.
