Giving information, Samsung Electronics said that the company has seen more pre-orders in its latest product series than any other Samsung smartphone and tablet within the first week. Pre-orders for Galaxy S22 series – Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra have more than doubled compared to their predecessor Galaxy S21 series.
Galaxy S22 Ultra is more popular
The company said that it has booked 1.02 million units in South Korea in pre-orders running from February 14 to 21. However, the company has not disclosed the data on global pre-orders. Samsung said the Ultra model is the most popular of the three models, accounting for more than 60 percent of the pre-order volume alone. The model comes with a built-in S Pen for the first time for Galaxy phones, effectively succeeding the Galaxy Note line.
The S22 Ultra has also received more than twice as many pre-orders as the previous Galaxy Tab S7 series. Half pre-bookings for the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra were done, Yonhap news agency reported. The company said that it will expand sales of the Galaxy S22 smartphone and Galaxy Tab S8 series to around 130 countries by mid-March.
The Galaxy Tab S8 series also received more than twice as many preorders as its previous Galaxy Tab S7 series. Half of the preorders were made for the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, reports Yonhap news agency. Samsung used recycled plastic materials, such as discarded fishing nets, as parts for the S22 series, to expand the use of eco-conscious materials and make its business more environmentally friendly. The company said it will further expand sales of the Galaxy S22 smartphones and Galaxy Tab S8 series to some 130 countries by mid-March.
