Regular variants of the Mi NoteBook 14 series have been launched with Intel Core i5 processors while Horizon Edition has been launched with Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors.
Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has launched its Mi Notebook 14 series laptops in the Indian market. This series has been launched with regular and Horizon Edition, which comes in five variants. Regular variants of the Mi NoteBook 14 series have been launched with Intel Core i5 processors, while Horizon Edition has been launched with Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors. Xiaomi Mi NoteBook 14 series is going to be challenged in this price range from brands like Lenovo, Asus, Dell, HP in India.
Mi NoteBook 14 Regular Edition
The regular edition of Mi NoteBook 14 comes with the 10th Gen Intel Core i5 processor. These two types of graphics cards come with Intel Iris UHD620 or NVIDIA MX250 GPU. Talking about its other features, it has a 14-inch display that comes with very thin bezels. The resolution of the display is 14-inch full-HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Additionally, it has an anti-glare coating. For connectivity, it has two USB 3.1 Type-A ports, an HDMI port, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. Additionally, it has a USB 2.0 port.
The notebook is powered by a 10th-generation Intel Core i5 processor, coupled with up to Nvidia GeForce MX250 graphics and 8GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 512GB of SATA SSD. There are 3mm of thin bezels on the top and sides of the display panel. This brings the absence of a built-in webcam. However, Xiaomi has bundled a USB webcam. Xiaomi has provided a built-in battery that is touted to deliver up to 10 hours of usage on a single charge. Besides, the notebook weighs 1.5 kilograms.
Mi NoteBook 14 Horizon Edition
The design and hardware configuration of the Horizon Edition is slightly different from the base variants. The Notebook uses aluminum and magnesium alloy which is 17.15mm wide and weighs only 1.35 kg and has a mercury gray color finishing. It comes in two variants, the 10th Gen Intel Core i5 and Core i7, and uses NVIDIA MX350 GPU with 2GB of RAM for graphics. Te Notebook has a 65W Fast 1C charging feature. It can be charged via USB Type C port. It uses a 46Wh battery. The webcam is not provided in this edition.
Xiaomi has provided a metallic chassis on the Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition that has a framework of aluminum and magnesium alloy. It is also touted to offer a footprint of a 13.3-inch notebook despite including a 14-inch display. Furthermore, you’ll get 3mm of bezels on the sides and top of the display panel. There will be a bundled USB webcam with the notebook to enable video conferencing support.
In terms of connectivity, the Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition has Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, two USB 3.1 ports, a USB 2.0 port, and a USB Type-C port for data transfer and charging. There is a chiclet-style keyboard that has a scissor mechanism and key travel of 1.3mm. The keyboard is coupled with a multitouch-supporting trackpad.
The Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition comes with stereo speakers and includes DTS Audio processing. Xiaomi has preloaded the laptop with Mi Blaze Unlock and Mi Quickshare. With this, you’ll get a 46Wh battery that is touted to deliver up to 10 hours of usage on a single charge.
Price and availability
The regular version of these laptops is priced at Rs. 41,999, while the base model of Horizon Edition is priced at Rs. 54,999. These laptops will be made available for sale in India from June 17. HDFC bank card users are being offered a cashback of up to Rs 2,000 on the purchase of these laptops. The base 8GB + 256GB model of the regular variant of Mi NoteBook 14 is priced at Rs 41,999.
At the same time, its 8GB + 512GB and 8GB + 512GB Nvidia MX250 Edition are priced at Rs 44,999 and Rs 47,999 respectively. The i5 8GB + 512GB variant of the Mi NoteBook 14 Horizon Edition costs Rs 54,999 and the i7 8GB + 512GB variant costs Rs 59,999.
The company will start selling the Mi Notebook 14 and Horizon Edition in the country starting June 17 through Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and Mi Studios. The notebooks will also soon be available for purchase through offline retail stores.
