Samsung, Huawei, LG, and some other big tech companies have started working on 6G technology, which is said to be 50 times faster than 5G and is expected to be launched professionally between 2028-2030. According to the information, the peak data download speed of 5G is 20 gigabits per second (GBPS). Telecom companies in India are currently doing 5G trials and it is expected that the 5G service will be launched in India by next year. Meanwhile, there are reports of the arrival of 6G even before the commercial rollout of the 5G service. It is said that preparations for 6G have also started in India. According to reports, the internet speed of 6G will be 50 times faster than 5G.
6G technology will start in India!
Telecom Secretary K. Rajaraman has said that the technical possibilities related to 6G should be considered so that 6G can be launched in the worldwide market as well as in India at this time. India is currently undergoing 5G testing, while the 5G network has been commercially launched in 2019 in South Korea, China, and the US market. However, Vodafone Idea has claimed to have achieved the highest peak speed of 3.7 Gbps during the trial in India. The Center for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) said in a statement, they have asked C-DOT to start work on 6G and other futuristic technologies to keep pace with the market in a timely manner.
5G speed in India
The 5G network can provide data download speeds up to a maximum of 20 Gbps. During the testing of the 5G network in India, the maximum speed of data download has reached 3.7 Gbps. Three companies Airtel, Vi, and Jio have done speed tests on data download up to 3 Gbps in a 5G network trial.
6G Speed
6G is the 6th generation of wireless technology. A 6G network runs on 5G and 4G, building on the modified infrastructure and higher capacity currently being installed on millimeter-wave 5G networks. Using higher-frequency radio bands, it will offer the network very fast speeds and low latency, capable of supporting systems such as refined mobile devices and automated cars.
It is expected to download maximum 1000Gbps data in a 6G network. Media reports say that LG has also started 6G trails and the company recently started 6G network trials in Germany. According to the report, data was sent and received at a distance of 100 meters during the test. In a 6G network, one can download a 6 GB movie in just 51 seconds at the speed of 1000 megabytes per second.
Features of 6G network
It is believed that a 6G network will be 50 times faster than 5G. Japan is expected to launch 6G networks by 2030, with South Korea, China, and Finland preparing for 6G networks in addition to Japan. According to a report lakhs of rupees are being spent on the 6G network in the European Union.
