Vodafone Idea also recently launched a prepaid plan with no daily data limit for Rs 447. Apart from this, VI has made some new changes in the plan of Rs 199 for its users.
Telecom companies keep on offering new plans or making new changes every day to compete with each other. With this, Vodafone Idea has changed its Rs 199 plan to compete with Jio and Airtel. Ever since Reliance Jio has brought new prepaid plans, most of the companies are making changes in their old plans.
Vodafone Idea also recently launched a prepaid plan (VI Prepaid Plan) with no daily data limit for Rs 447. Apart from this, Vodafone Idea (VI) has made some new changes in the Rs 199 plan for its users.
Vodafone Idea Rs 199 plan old and new benefits comparison
Vodafone Idea used to offer 1GB data daily for 24 days to its users in its Rs 199 plan. Along with this, users used to get unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS / day facility. It also included VI Movies and TV apps as additional benefits.
However, now looking at the revised plan, in the new benefits, users will now get an extended validity of 28 days with the plan. Also, keeping all other benefits the same, the daily data limit has been increased to 1.5GB. Users will continue to get truly unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS/day for an extended validity of 28 days along with additional benefits of the VI Movies & TV app.
It is also worth noting that this offer may be reserved for select users, depending on the type of plans they have previously subscribed to or the region they live in. Because even after updating to the latest version of VI application, the app still shows complete plan details to some users.
Vodafone Idea’s Rs 199 plan competes directly with Jio’s plan
Talking about the old benefits, the Rs 199 plan of VI was in direct competition with Airtel’s plan. But with the new benefits, Telco’s plan directly competes with Jio’s plan. Reliance Jio also gives 1.5GB of data daily for 28 days to its users with a plan of Rs 199. Jio’s plan also includes complimentary Jio applications along with unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS/day.
