    Prepaid Validity

Validity extensions of Airtel Vodafone-Idea and Reliance Jio users expire tomorrow. In such a situation, TRAI has suggested that the validity should be extended by 3 May.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) believes that telecom companies should extend free validity extensions to prepaid users by May 3. Let us tell you that after the announcement of the nationwide lockdown by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 24 March 2020, all telecom companies had extended the validity of prepaid users till after 15 April. All private telecom operators had extended the validity of low-budget users by 17 April. At the same time, the public sector company BSNL had extended the validity of all its prepaid users by 21 April. Also, the telecom companies had announced a free talk time of Rs 10 to these users.trai

Validity extensions of Airtel, Vodafone-Idea and Reliance Jio users expire tomorrow. According to an online report, the Telecom Authority (TRAI) suggested that telecom companies should extend their validity by 3 May. On 14 April, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended the nationwide lockdown till 3 May, in view of which the Telecom Authority is expecting this from the telecom companies. Let us tell you that in order to fight the country with the coronavirus at the time of lockdown, the telecom companies are assisting about Rs 600 crore by extending validity and giving talk time. However, there has been no response from the telecom companies on the authority’s suggestion to extend this new validity.

With the lockdown limit increased, all telecom companies can once again extend the validity of prepaid users. Users are facing difficulty in getting mobile recharged due to the lockdown. In such a situation, Airtel, Jio, Vodafone have also given the facility to recharge mobile for their users through ATM. Also, mobile recharge facilities have been introduced at many medical stores and grocery stores.

If all telecom companies extend the validity of users by May 3, then those who are stuck somewhere due to lockdown will get relief. Reliance Jio has also launched the Community Recharge POS App to ensure people do not have difficulty in recharging. With its help, one can recharge Jio number and earn a commission. At the same time, Airtel has also started the recharge facility at Apollo Pharmacy and Big Bazar grocery shop.
