Tata Sky subscribers who have added many channels to their cart can cap their NCF charges to a certain amount by adding a Lite pack to their subscription

Popular Direct to Home service provider, Tata Sky has put together a new scheme for its subscribers which will allow its customers to get a discount of up to Rs 300 on the monthly network fee. However, as part of this offer, the subscribers will have to add some channels to their cart, which are recommended by Tata Sky to avail of the offer. The discount will be available for heavy customers of Tata Sky who are paying a certain amount every month. The benefit on the NCF for the subscribers will come through the channel bouquets, which will offer a certain number of channels without adding much to the charges.Tata Sky

How to Reduce NCF Charges on Tata Sky Subscription

For example, the subscribers who get 40 HD channels and 100 SD channels would have to pay Rs 245 as their NCF every month which is constituted by Rs 153 for the first 100 channels and Rs 23 x 4 for the other 40 channels. Ultra News reported that if the subscriber also gets the Hindi Lite HD pack, then the network capacity fee for the customer gets capped at Rs 99 which means that no matter how many channels the subscribers add to his or her cart, they will only have to pay Rs 99 as the NCF.

These special channel packs which will reduce the subscription amount for the Tata Sky subscribers can be found under the ‘Lite’ section. This means that by adding a Lite pack to your subscription, you are likely to save on NCF. The subscribers who have lots of channels on their subscription will be able to save up to Rs 300 per month. It is also worth noting that Tata Sky has availed these channel packs for most language markets meaning that the Lite packs come in various regional language options.

Lite Packs Available for Many Languages

Another example of how Tata Sky subscribers will be able to save on their subscription costs is through the Bengali Lite Pack which will cap the NCF to Rs 131.5 including Tax. This way, you will be able to add a number of channels to your subscription while only paying the content charges of these channels and not increasing the NCF.Tata Sky

It is worth noting that while the Lite packs cap the NCF amount to a certain extent and allow the subscribers to save some amount on their subscription, they do come with pay channels for which the subscribers will be billed eventually. Hence, the actual benefit of the Lite packs will be available to the subscribers only when they add a lot of channels to their subscription allowing them to balance off the NCF charges for the additional channels which they add.

You can also eliminate the redundantly selected channels which are present in your individual channel selection and the Lite pack as well. This would also save the subscribers some amount in pay channel costs. The Lite packs for Tata Sky subscribers are available in many languages like Tamil, Telugu and more.
