Reliance Jio and Star India had been in talks for a long time on the free live-streaming of IPL 2020, which has now been finalized.
Indian telecom company Reliance Jio can extend two recharge plans, on which users can watch online streaming of Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) for free on recharge. Reliance Jio and Star India were in a talk for a long time on a deal. According to media reports, the deal has now been finalized, which will allow Jio subscribers to access IPL 2020 for free. Apart from this, the live streaming of IPL 2020 will be made available on JioFiber, Jio high-speed FiberNet brand for free.
The deal is important for the broadcast of IPL 2020. The IPL in 2019 conveyed extraordinary numbers on digital streaming on Hotstar. The streaming platform had claimed that they have crossed 300Mn watchers and registered a 74% increment in view time in comparison to IPL 2018 version. Not as it were this, the finals of IPL 2019 between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai made a record of sorts because it conveyed 18.6 million concurrent clients.
Reliance Jio IPL Plans
Two recharge plans of Rs 401 and Rs 2,599 can be offered by Reliance Jio. This plan will provide live streaming of IPL 2020 for free. However, both these plans are already available to users. But at present, it has not been disclosed by the company whether these plans will be extended to IPL.
Rs 401 Reliance Jio IPL Plan
90GB data is made available to users on Jio’s 401 rupees plan. Its validity will be 20 days and 3GB data will be made available daily. Apart from this, extra 6GB data will be available from the company after daily use. Also, Jio will get 1000 minutes and 100SMS daily for Jio free calling and calling on non-jio network. Apart from this, customers will be able to get free access to premium Jio apps like Jio Cinema, Jio TV, Jio Saavan, Jio News.
Rs 2599 Reliance Jio IPL Plan
Jio’s annual recharge plan of Rs 2,599 will get 2GB data daily. The validity of this plan will be 365 days. After the daily use of data, users will get extra 10GB of data. In this way, users will get about 740GB of data on this plan throughout the year. The plan will get a one-year Disney + Hotstar subscription as complimentary. Also, users will be able to gain access to Jio apps like Jio Cinema, Jio TV, Jio Saavn, JioNews. To take advantage of both these offers, users will have to have a subscription to Disney + Hotstar.
