Realme recently launched the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variants of the Realme 8 5G smartphone. With the launch of this base variant, Realme 8 5G has become the cheapest smartphone in India. It costs Rs 13,999. The phone will be made available for sale for the first time today i.e. 18 May 2021 at 12 noon. The phone can be purchased from Realme.com and e-commerce site Flipkart. Specifications of Realme 8 5G Smartphone
Realme 8 5G smartphone was launched on 21st April 2021. The phone comes with a 6.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels at a pixel density of 405 pixels per inch (ppi) and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Realme 8 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. It comes with 4GB of RAM. The Realme 8-5G runs Android 11 and is powered by a 5000mAh battery. The Realme 8 5G supports proprietary fast charging.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Realme 8-5G on the rear packs a 48-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture; a 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It sports a 16-megapixel camera on the front for selfies with an f/2.1 aperture.
The Realme 8 5G runs Realme UI 2.0 is based on Android 11 and packs 64GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 1000GB) with a dedicated slot. The Realme 8-5G is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The Realme 8 5G measures 162.50 x 74.80 x 8.50mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 185.00 grams. It was launched in Supersonic Black and Supersonic Blue colours.
Connectivity options on the Realme 8-5G include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.10, USB Type-C, FM radio, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India) with active 4G on both SIM cards. Sensors on the phone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. The Realme 8 5G supports face unlock.
