Oppo launched its first smartwatch last year called Oppo Watch, which is one of the most popular smartwatches in the market and competes with Apple, Samsung Watch. With this, now the company is going to launch the new wearable Oppo Watch 2 of its smartwatch segment on July 27 next week. Oppo hasn’t shared any further details about the Watch 2 yet, but the smartwatch is already listed on the website of a Chinese online retailer, revealing the design and color options of the Oppo Watch 2. Let’s know about the possible specifications of the watch

OPPO Watch 2 Launching on July 27

The company has confirmed that the Oppo Watch 2, which will be unveiled on July 27, will be the successor to the original Oppo Watch that launched in India in July last year after debuting in China in March. It is also possible that the company may bring different variants/versions of Oppo Watch 2. As of now, it is not clear when the smartwatch will arrive in India as it took almost four months for the original Oppo Watch to arrive in the country.

Ahead of its official launch, the Oppo Watch 2 has also been listed on JD.com. The listing shows a rectangular dial with two buttons on the right. A curved display can be seen with blue, black, and orange color stripes. The smartwatch is listed to feature heart rate monitoring and e-SIM support and is expected to come with the Apollo4s chip that has been developed by Oppo and Ambiq. Oppo Watch 2 will be IPX5 certified, will have over 50 sports modes, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and built-in GPS for connectivity.

According to an online report, the Oppo Watch 2 will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 SoC and will come with up to 16GB of storage. If this turns out to be true, the Oppo Watch 2 will be one of the very few smartwatch models to run Qualcomm’s latest Soc for wearables.

The report also states that the Apollo4s chip (Apollo4 family) will be used in conjunction with the Snapdragon Wear 4100 and considering that the Apollo4 chip is an ultra-low-power SoC, it will make for better battery life as the smartwatch needs to be powered by every smartphone. Time will not read to use the high-power Snapdragon Wear 4100 SoC.
