Oppo’s Hand ID Technology
Notably, it was announced that OPPO has patented new technology. Which will be used in the company’s upcoming wearable device. The patent number of these new technologies is CN110298944B. It has been showcased as a “Venous Unlocking Process and Vein Unlocking Design. It is reported that Oppo’s new technology will come with biometric systems like facial recognition and fingerprint scanner. But it will map the user’s hand. That means device users.” Will open only by touching the hand of the phone. It can be introduced as Hand ID. Hand ID technology has also been mentioned by LG.
Oppo’s first foldable phone is highly likely to be a China-exclusive device, according to the tipster. This means Oppo may not immediately launch it outside of China, unlike Samsung, which sells its Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip phones in several countries. The tipster also hinted that Oppo’s foldable is not going to come cheap. That makes sense because even though foldable have become mainstream, they are a novelty and not as convenient to use as regular smartphones. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold costs about Rs 1.5 lakh despite the fact that it is the third generation of Samsung’s foldable devices.
