Bharti Airtel has added YouTube Premium to its Rs 200 prepaid OTT top-up in India, bringing ad-free video streaming, YouTube Music Premium and 30GB of additional mobile data into a single 28-day entertainment pack.

The updated offer expands Airtel’s entertainment bundle beyond movies and television shows to include YouTube videos, Shorts and music. The pack is aimed at prepaid customers who regularly stream content on their smartphones and want multiple entertainment benefits without paying for each service separately.

Airtel Rs 200 OTT Pack: Benefits and Validity

The Airtel Rs 200 entertainment top-up includes 30GB of additional data and access to YouTube Premium for 28 days. It also provides access to other entertainment services included in Airtel’s OTT bundle.

Here are the main benefits of the pack:

    • Price: Rs 200
    • Validity: 28 days
    • Additional data: 30GB
    • YouTube Premium: Included through the eligible offer
    • YouTube Music Premium: Included with the YouTube Premium benefit
    • Other OTT services: Access to selected platforms through Airtel’s entertainment bundle

The existing entertainment lineup includes services such as Amazon Prime Video, JioHotstar, ZEE5 Premium and SonyLIV, along with additional OTT platforms. However, the subscription tier, supported devices and access conditions may differ between services, so customers should check the benefits displayed in the Airtel app before recharging.

What YouTube Premium Offers Airtel Users

YouTube Premium gives eligible subscribers an ad-free viewing experience on regular YouTube videos and Shorts. It also includes YouTube Music Premium, background playback for supported videos and the option to download eligible content for offline viewing.

Background playback allows users to continue listening to supported videos while using other apps or when their phone screen is switched off. Offline downloads can also help users watch saved content when a reliable internet connection is unavailable.

The ad-free experience does not necessarily remove sponsorships or promotions embedded directly into videos by creators.

For users who spend significant time watching YouTube creators, listening to music or following video podcasts, these benefits could be more useful than a bundle focused exclusively on films and television series.

Does the Airtel Rs 200 Pack Replace a Regular Recharge?

No. The Rs 200 offer is an add-on pack, not a replacement for a regular Airtel prepaid recharge.

Customers need an active base prepaid plan to use the offer. The top-up provides additional data and entertainment benefits, but customers should not assume that it independently provides calling, SMS or regular service validity.

The additional 30GB data is available during the pack’s 28-day validity. Customers should check their existing recharge and the terms displayed at the time of purchase to understand how the benefits apply to their account.

How to Activate YouTube Premium With Airtel

Airtel prepaid customers can follow these steps to claim the bundled YouTube Premium benefit:

    1. Open the Airtel app and select the eligible Rs 200 OTT top-up.
    2. Complete the recharge, ensuring the prepaid number has an active base plan.
    3. Open the app’s Rewards & OTTs section.
    4. Find the YouTube Premium offer and follow the on-screen instructions to claim it.
    5. Check the activation status and validity before using the subscription.

Customers should claim the benefit promptly after recharging and review the offer’s conditions. The entertainment benefits are tied to the top-up’s 28-day validity; users who want to continue after expiry may need to purchase the eligible pack again and reclaim the offer.

Is Airtel’s Rs 200 YouTube Premium Pack Worth It?

The value depends on how customers use mobile data and entertainment services.

For someone who already watches YouTube regularly, listens to music through YouTube Music and uses the other OTT platforms in the bundle, the combination of Premium access and 30GB of extra data could be attractive. It brings several benefits together in one recharge rather than requiring separate purchases.

However, customers who primarily want a regular prepaid plan for calling and daily data should compare this add-on with Airtel’s standard recharge options. The Rs 200 top-up does not replace the need for an eligible active plan.

The key advantage is the combination of YouTube Premium, additional data and other entertainment benefits for 28 days. Before recharging, users should verify the currently available benefits and subscription conditions in the Airtel app.
