Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is offering free broadband service for four months to its Bharat Fiber and Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) customers. This offer is also applicable for BSNL Landline and Broadband over Wi-Fi (BBoWiFi) customers on an India basis. The state-owned telecom operator has separately regularized its Bharat Fiber plans to offer the same tariff across all its circles, except the Andaman and Nicobar circle. Bharat Fiber offers fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) broadband service, starting at Rs 449.
BSNL Free Broadband Service
BSNL is offering four months of free broadband service to its Bharat Fiber, DSL, landline, and BBoWiFi customers on a single payment of 36 months of rent. This brings a total of 40 months of service at 36 months fee. BSNL also provides three months of free service to its broadband customers for paying advance rent for 24 months. In addition, customers going with 12 months advance rental will get an additional month of free service.
Customers can avail of this offer by calling the toll-free number 1800003451500 or by visiting their nearest customer care center as per the details given on the BSNL site. It is important to note that BSNL originally offered free broadband service in its Maharashtra circle in February last year, though it is now available on a pan-India basis.
Along with offering the free service, BSNL has regularized the Bharat Fiber broadband plans to offer uniform fares across the country, except in the Andaman and Nicobar circle. Kerala Telecom reports that the change is applicable on all India Fiber plans that start at Rs 449 and go up to Rs 1,499. It is also said that the operator has discontinued the existing Disney+Hotstar Premium plan.
