    Xiaomi Cancels MIUI 12 Update for 4 Redmi Smartphones

    Xiaomi has announced that the Redmi 7 Redmi Y3 Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 smartphones will not receive the latest MIUI 12 operating system update. Currently, these four smartphones are working on the MIUI 11 operating system based on Android 10.

    Redmi 7, Redmi Y3, Redmi 6A, and Redmi 6 are bad news for smartphone users. Xiaomi has officially announced that the latest MIUI 12 operating system update will not be given in these four smartphones. This information was received from the company’s MI Community Forum. Let us know that at the moment these four devices are working on the MIUI 11 operating system.

    Xiaomi has said on the forum that due to the performance issue, the update of the MIUI 12 operating system for Redmi 7, Redmi Y3, Redmi 6A, and Redmi 6 smartphones will not be released. Recently the company released an update of MIUI 12 for Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Poco F1, and Mi 10.

    New smartphone from Xiaomi

    Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G smartphone last month. The starting price of this smartphone in China is 1299 Chinese Yuan (about 14,600 rupees). Talking about the specification, the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G smartphone has a 6.67-inch FHD + IPS display. Its refreshed rate is 120Hz. The phone uses Adreno 619 GPU with Snapdragon 750G SoC. The phone will work on Android 10 out of the box with MIUI 12. The quad rear camera setup has been given on the back panel of the phone.

    It will have the support of 108MP sensor, 13MP ultra wide lens, 2MP macro lens unit and 2MP depth sensor, while a 16MP selfie camera has been given on the front panel. The phone will come with a 4,820mAh battery, which can be charged with a 33W fast charger. The phone will have a side mounted fingerprint sensor. It will have support for 5G, 4G LTE, NFC, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type-C port for connectivity.

    Apart from this, Redmi Note 9 4G has also been launched in the market. The initial price of this phone is RMB 999 (about Rs 11,200). The Redmi Note 9 5G smartphone has a 6.53 inch FHD + fivehole display. Its refresh rate is 60Hz. MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC will be supported in the phone. The phone will get 8GB of RAM support. Triple rear camera setup has been given on the rear panel of the phone.

    Its primary camera will be 48MP. Apart from this, 8MP ultra wide lens, 2MP depth sensor has been supported. 13MP is given on the front panel of the phone. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery. The phone will work on Android 10 based MIUI 12 out of the box.
