Vi has announced that customers can reserve international roaming packs for trips scheduled before April 7, 2024, entitling them to complimentary coverage for their travel bags in case of loss or delay.

In a strategic move to enhance the international travel experience for its subscribers, Vodafone Idea (Vi), the third-largest telecom operator in India, has unveiled an exclusive offer providing delayed or lost baggage coverage for its international roaming (IR) postpaid customers. The telecom giant has partnered with Blue Ribbon Bags, a reputable US-based lost baggage concierge company, to ensure a worry-free travel experience.

    Eligibility and Coverage Details

Vi has specified that the baggage delay or lost cover offer is applicable only to select international roaming postpaid plans. These plans include the 10 days plan priced at Rs 3999, the 14 days plan at Rs 4999, and the 30 days plan at Rs 5999. The offer is valid for customers who pre-book international roaming packs for travel scheduled before April 7, 2024. This exclusive promotion commenced on February 26, 2024, and will remain available until March 21, 2024.

    Compensation and Claim Process

Customers opting for the eligible international roaming plans will receive complimentary baggage coverage. In the unfortunate event of baggage delay or loss extending beyond the 96-hour mark from the time of submitting the complaint, Vi assures compensation of Rs 19,800 per bag.

To avail of this offer, customers need to follow a simple process. Firstly, they must book an international roaming pack within the specified period. Subsequently, they are required to register with Blue Ribbon Bags before their flight. Upon arrival at their destination, customers can check-in their luggage and, in the event of baggage delay or loss, file a report within 24 hours.

Blue Ribbon Bags Technology and Guarantee

Blue Ribbon Bags, with its advanced technology, ensures swift retrieval of lost baggage. In case the bags are not returned within 4 days, Blue Ribbon Bags pledges to pay the customer Rs 19,800 per bag, offering a guaranteed resolution to the inconvenience caused.

This innovative partnership between Vodafone Idea and Blue Ribbon Bags signifies a commitment to providing enhanced services and peace of mind for international travelers. Vi customers can now embark on their journeys with confidence, knowing that their baggage is protected against potential delays or losses, making their travel experience truly seamless and worry-free.
