    Samsung Become India’s Top Tablet Brand With 46 Percent Market Share

    Samsung has achieved a growth of 220 percent in the June quarter compared to the previous quarter. Its market share stood at 45 percent during this period. This has been revealed by the world wide report of personal device tracker IDC.

Talking about the June quarter this year, Samsung has emerged as the top tablet brand in India. Samsung has achieved a growth of 220 percent in the June quarter compared to the previous quarter. Its market share stood at 45 percent during this period. This has been revealed by the worldwide report of personal device tracker IDC.

    In a press note, Samsung said its tablets have done “extremely well” across mass (less than Rs 20,000), mid (between Rs 20,000 – Rs 40,000), as well as premium (more than Rs 40,000) segments. However, the company has not shared the total units shipped in the last quarter, and the India-specific IDC report remains unavailable. On the global stage, Apple led the tablets market with its iPad portfolio with a 31.9 percent market share in Q2 2021, according to IDC. Apple was followed by Samsung, which shipped 8 million tablets in Q2 2021, registering a 13.3 percent growth year-on-year, and securing a 19.6 percent market share. Lenovo took the third spot with 4.7 million units, securing an 11.6 percent market, followed by Amazon that shipped 4.3 million units, registering a year-on-year growth of 20.3 percent.

    The most liked tablets

    If we talk about the June quarter, then customers in India most prefer Samsung’s tablets under Rs 20,000. This is followed by 20K-40K mid-rand tablets and 40K premium tablets.

    Galaxy Tab A7 Lite

    Talking about a tablet priced below Rs 10,000, then the name of Galaxy Tab A7 Lite comes in it. This is the company’s most affordable tablet launched in India. At the same time, the Galaxy Tab A7 is present in the mid-range. Its screen size is 10.4 inches. Dolby Atmos is supported with quad speakers in the tablet. S-Pen is supported in the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite tab.

    Premium Tablet

    The Galaxy Tab S7, Tab S7 Plus, and Tab S7FE are present in the premium tablet list. Samsung has recently launched the Wi-Fi variant of Galaxy Tab S7 FE in India. Galaxy Tab S7 FE has a 12.4-inch immersive display and support for in-box S Pen.
