Samsung has started its India campaign for the Galaxy S26 FE, with the company confirming that the new Fan Edition smartphone will go on sale in the country from September 18, 2026. Samsung has opened registrations through its India website, allowing customers to sign up for notifications ahead of the retail launch.
The Galaxy S26 FE is positioned as a more accessible member of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S26 family, bringing several premium features to a lower price segment. Samsung has confirmed the phone will use its Exynos 2500 processor, a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and One UI 9 based on Android 17.
Galaxy S26 FE India Sale Starts September 18
Samsung’s India campaign confirms that Galaxy S26 FE sales will begin on September 18. The company is currently asking interested buyers to register for launch notifications rather than revealing the final Indian retail price.

Exynos 2500 Powers the Galaxy S26 FE
The Galaxy S26 FE uses Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chipset built on a 3nm process. The processor is paired with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1,900 nits.
The phone is also designed as a relatively thin and lightweight device, measuring 7.4mm thick and weighing 193 grams. Samsung has equipped it with a 4,900mAh battery and 45W wired charging, with the company claiming the phone can reach 69% charge in around 30 minutes using a compatible 45W adapter.
Wireless charging is also supported at up to 15W, while Wireless PowerShare allows the phone to charge compatible devices and accessories.
50MP Camera and Galaxy AI Features
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S26 FE with a triple rear-camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, a 12MP ultrawide camera and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. A 12MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.
The smartphone is also the first model in the Galaxy S26 family to launch with One UI 9, according to Samsung. The software brings the company’s latest Galaxy AI features and camera-related enhancements to the FE series.
Samsung is therefore using the S26 FE to bring several of the software and AI capabilities associated with its premium Galaxy lineup to a lower price segment.

Samsung has not yet announced the official Indian price of the Galaxy S26 FE. Current expectations place the smartphone in the Rs 64,999 to Rs 69,999 range, although the final price could vary depending on the storage configuration and launch offers.
The global Galaxy S26 FE starts at $699.99 in the US, while Samsung has confirmed 128GB and 256GB storage configurations for that market. Availability of storage variants can differ by country.
