This is the rebranded model of Redmi AirBuds-S launched in China last month. It has been launched in India under the name Redmi Earbuds-S. According to an online Research, the demand for wireless earbuds has increased significantly in India in 2019. This is the reason that many companies including Realme, Redmi, OPPO, OnePlus, Huawei these days are focusing on smartphones as well as earbuds.
In India, the company has launched its Redmi Earbuds-S at a price of Rs 1,799. Its sale will be held tomorrow, ie on May 27 at 12 noon on the e-commerce platform Amazon.in as well as the company’s e-store. These True Wireless earbuds will compete with other brands such as boAt’s Airdopes True Wireless earbuds. According to the company’s claim, these earbuds come with 12 hours of music playback support. That is, its charging case can be used for 12 hours by charging it once.
Talking about the features of this wireless earbuds, it comes with Bluetooth 5.0 support, which helps in instant pairing it with the device. Its design has been quite slick. At the same time, it also supports the voice assistance feature. These truly wireless earbuds are IPX4 sweat and splashproof, meaning it protects the device from water splash and dust. Redmi Earbuds S comes with a low latency gaming mode feature. Also, multi-functional buttons have been provided to control it. The wireless earbuds also feature a 7.2mm driver and DSP noise reduction feature that provides better call experience for users.
Gaming users will also benefit from a low-latency mode on the Redmi Airdots S, which will allow for the smoother transmission of sound from the smartphone to the earphones with reduced delay. Xiaomi will face competition from Realme in the segment as well, which recently launched the Realme Buds Air Neo true wireless earphones for Rs. 2,999. Although positioned against the more expensive Mi True Wireless Earphones 2, the pricing of the Realme Buds Air Neo means that the Redmi Earbuds S will also face competition.
