OnePlus TV 40Y1 is the 6th Smart TV of OnePlus to be launched in India. OnePlus TV 49 Y1 Smart TV will be on sale at the OnePlus online store. It can also be purchased from the e-commerce site Flipkart.
OnePlus India has expanded its TV portfolio and added another model to the affordable Y-range, the OnePlus TV 40Y1. The new model comes with a 93 percent color gamut and runs on Android TV 9.0. Much like other OnePlus TV models, the new OnePlus TV 40Y1 also sports the company’s bezel-less design with an incredible screen-to-body ratio of 93.8 percent. Notably, this is the highest screen-to-body ratio on the company’s Y-series models – 32-inch and 43-inch.
OnePlus TV 40Y1 Price and Availability
The OnePlus TV 40Y1 will be available from May 26 on Flipkart, while the company’s online store, OnePlus.in, lists the new TV but says it will available in a few days. This means that the OnePlus TV 40Y1 will be initially made available via Flipkart and will soon be available on the company’s online store. It is priced at Rs 21,999. Additionally, Flipkart has listed an instant discount offer where consumers can get 10 percent off when purchasing a TV using HDFC Bank cards.
The new OnePlus TV 40Y1 sits perfectly between the 32-inch and 43-inch models that were launched earlier. The OnePlus TV 32Y1 is available at Rs 15,999, while the OnePlus TV 43Y1 comes at Rs 26,999.
OnePlus TV 40Y1 Specifications
OnePlus TV 40Y1 runs on run on Android TV 9-based OxygenPlay. It features a 40-inch full-HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) display that has slim bezels to achieve a 93.8 percent screen-to-body ratio along with 93 percent coverage of DCI-P3 colour space. It runs on the company’s Gamma Engine that is said to deliver real-time optimisation of video content.
The TV is powered by an unspecified 64-bit processor, comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It has two channel speakers with a total output of 20W and Dolby Audio support. It has a built-in Chromecast along with access to the Google Play store, Google Assistant, and Alexa voice assistant. The OnePlus TV-40Y1 supports Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, and other OTT platforms.
For connectivity, OnePlus TV 40Y1 includes single-band 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5, an Ethernet port, two HDMI ports, and two USB ports. It features anti-aliasing, noise reduction, dynamic contrast, and colour space mapping. In terms of dimensions, the TV measures 892x86x513mm and weighs 5.1kg without the stand.
