OnePlus has launched in India with its 8 and 8 Pro 5G features. Both these smartphones have seen many upgrades including a punch-hole display panel.
Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has launched its first 5G smartphone series in India. Both OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones have been launched with 5G network support and punch-hole display panels. However, the company has not yet launched OnePlus 8 Lite. Information was coming about this smartphone from the last several months. Both OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro smartphones have been launched with 8GB / 12GB RAM and 12GB / 256GB storage options. The front panel designs of both smartphones are given the same. Punch-hole Fluid AMOLED display panels have been used in both.
OnePlus 8 features
OnePlus 8 is available in three color options Onyx Black, Glacial Green, and Interstellar Glow. Talking about the phone’s display feature, it is available in a 6.55-inch FluidAMOLED 90Hz refresh rate display. The phone has a punch-hole screen with 3D Corning Gorilla Glass Protection. This smartphone is provided with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC processor and X55 5G chipset. The phone runs on OxygenOS based on Android 10.
OnePlus 8 Price and availability
OnePlus 8’s 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant costs $ 699 (about Rs 53,000). At the same time, the price of 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is $ 799 (about 60,000 rupees). OnePlus 8 Pro’s 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant costs $ 899 (about Rs. 68,200). At the same time, the price of 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is $ 999 (about 75,800 rupees). Both these smartphones will be made available for sale on Amazon India. However, the Indian price has not been revealed at the moment. It can be launched in India in a lower price range.
Talking about the camera features of the phone, the triple rear camera set-up has been given in its back. All three cameras are vertically aligned in Central. The phone has a 48MP primary rear sensor, 16MP ultra-wide sensor, and 2MP macro sensor. Apart from this, it has a 16MP front camera, with features like auto-focus and time-lapse. The smartphone’s camera comes with features like night mode, ultra shot HDR. The phone comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
To give power to the phone, a battery of 4,300mAh is provided. Also, WarpCharge 30T fast charging support has also been given in it. Talking about connectivity, technologies like USB Type C, NFC, WiFi 6 have also been used.

OnePlus 8 Pro is also available in three color options Onyx Black, Glacial Green (8GB RAM + 128GB) and Ultramarine Blue. Talking about the phone’s display feature, it is available in a 6.78-inch FluidAMOLED 120Hz refresh rate display. This smartphone also has a punch-hole screen 3D Corning Gorilla Glass Protection. This smartphone is also given with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC processor and X55 5G chipset. The phone runs on OxygenOS based on Android 10. It comes with IP68 water and dustproof rating.
Talking about the camera features of the phone, the quad rear camera set-up has been given in its back. It has a 48MP primary rear sensor, 8MP telephoto sensor, 48MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 5MP color filter camera. The phone has a 6.78-inch QHD+ (1440×3168 pixels) Fluid AMOLED display along with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 19.8:9 aspect ratio, and a 3D Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It also features a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 1300 nits. It also features a 10-bit colour panel and an HDR10+ rating. OnePlus at the launch event said it has been awarded an A+ rating by DisplayMate, breaking 13 records.
