Nokia 6.2 has started receiving Android 10 update in the Indian market. With this update, many new features will now be added to the phone.
HMD Global launched the Nokia 6.2 smartphone with Android 9 in India last year. At the same time, 6 months after the launch, the company has rolled out the Android 10 update for this smartphone. Along with this, the company has also released the March 2020 security patch for the phone. Nokia 6.2 is not the first smartphone from the company that received the Android 10 update. Earlier, the company released an Android 10 update for Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 8.1, Nokia 7.2, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 6.1, Nokia 4.2, and Nokia 3.2 in addition to the Nokia 2.3 smartphone launched this year.
The information has been given on the company community page that the company will release an Android 10 update for Nokia 6.2 in some countries in the first phase. These include Bahrain, Bangladesh, Finland, France, Belgium, Iceland, Malaysia, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Nepal, Netherlands, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, and Yemen, including India. In the next phase, the company will provide an Android 10 update to Nokia 6.2 in other countries.
HMD Global expects to finish rolling out the update for users in the above markets by May 3. If you live in any of the above countries and own a Nokia 6.2, you can check for the update manually by heading to Settings > About Phone > System updates. Unfortunately, however, it looks like Nokia 6.2 users in the U.S. will have to wait longer to receive the Android 10 update.
Talking about the Android 10 update to Nokia 6.2, the company has not shared the information about the features being added under it at the moment. But after the new update, the phone will have features such as dark modeled smart reply, gesture navigation as well as features like privacy and location control. Apart from this, after getting the March 2020 security patch, the phone will be more secure than before.
Nokia 6.2 is priced at Rs 13,168 in the Indian market. It has a 6.3-inch full HD + display that is coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. This phone works on Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor and has a triple rear camera. The phone has a 16MP primary sensor, 5MP depth sensor, and 8MP ultra-wide lens. The front camera is 8MP.
