    Up until now, Lenovo owned brand Motorola has been carving its niche in the budget and mid-range segment for smartphones. The company has launched the E series of phones and the newly coined, One series of smartphones in India in the recent past. However, today marks the day when Motorola has entered the market of smart TVs with the launch of the Motorola TV. In a new event held today, Motorola has made two major announcements which include the launch of Motorola E6 and the Motorola TV. Of course, the Moto E6 is a device which is going to be talked about a lot, but we are taking a look here at the Motorola TV to see what features it packs.

    Motorola TV Base Variant Starting at Rs 13,999

    It is worth noting that the new TV launched by Motorola named simply as the Motorola TV has been brought to the public with the partnership between Motorola and Flipkart. The first thing to note about the Motorola TV is that it will support up to 4K resolution. The new series of televisions from Motorola begins at Rs 13,999, and the sale for these televisions will start on September 29, 2019. As you can see, this is a range which is dominated by the likes of Xiaomi when it comes to Smart TVs. Therefore, with this new launch, Motorola will look forward to competing Mi TVs in the smart TV market.

    Motorola TV Pricing, Specifications and Features

    Talking about the variants of the Motorola TVs which have been unveiled today, the first variant of the Motorola TV includes the base model of the 32-inch display which is the one bearing the Rs 13,999 price tag. The next variant which Motorola has launched under its smart TV series is the 43-inch Motorola TV model which comes with full-HD resolution. This 43-inch variant will retail in the market for Rs 24,999. In the same size of 43-inch, Motorola will be offering a UHD variant of the TV as well which will retail for Rs 29,999. Further, a 50-inch variant of the UHD TV is priced at Rs 33,999. Lastly, the 55-inch and the 65-inch UHD Motorola TV models have been priced at Rs 39,999 and Rs 64,999 respectively.

    The higher-end line-up of TVs from Motorola offers 4K UHD resolution and when it comes to design, the TVs sport very minimal bezels. These TVs also come with MEMC technology for removing latency in scene shifting and thus leading to a smooth viewing experience. Some of the other features of the Motorola TV include Autotune X display with 1.07 billion colors paired with Dolby Vision, HDR 10, 117-degree viewing angle. The TV also features 16GB of internal storage and 2.5GB of RAM. There is a quad-core SoC at the core with a Mali 450 GPU. The front-firing built-in soundbar on the TV called the amphisoundX comes with 30W speaker, and it also supports DTS TruSurround and Dolby Audio. As for the software, the TV boots Android 9.0 Pie and it supports Google Assistant and offers Play Store access.
