Motorola has officially confirmed the India launch date for the Edge 70 Max. According to details published on a Flipkart promotional page, the upcoming smartphone will debut in the country on July 15 at 12 pm IST. The device will expand the existing Edge 70 series lineup and will be sold directly through the e-commerce platform following its initial launch event.

Official images show that the handset features a flat display panel with slim borders and a square rear camera island. The company plans to release the smartphone in light blue and green colour options. Aside from the design, the promotional listing confirms several hardware specifications, though final product pricing and exact camera details remain unannounced.

    Processor Performance and Display Features

The new smartphone will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. Promotional data indicates that this chipset brings a 46 percent improvement in artificial intelligence tasks using its NPU. The device supports up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and achieves a score above 3 million in the AnTuTu performance test benchmark. To manage heat during gaming, the phone uses an ArcticMesh cooling system with a 5,500 square millimetre vapour cooling chamber.

The display features a Quad-HD+ LTPO screen that supports a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel reaches a peak brightness of 7,000 nits and relies on Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for protection. Additional specifications include 10-bit colour output, full DCI-P3 colour space support, and a 95.12 percent screen-to-body ratio. The platform confirms that the phone supports running the mobile game BGMI at 120 frames per second. Meanwhile, a social media post by tipster Roland Quandt on Bluesky states that the phone may feature a 6.82-inch screen size.

    Battery Capacity and Charging Options

Powering the device is a 7,100mAh battery that delivers up to 58 hours of operational life according to official company claims. The smartphone supports fast connectivity options alongside a 90W TurboPower wired charging configuration. For wireless usage, the listing confirms that the device will support magnetic wireless charging, which the company states is a brand-new addition for this market segment.

The company has not shared any extra data regarding the launch of other storage options or accessories for the phone. For now, full local availability and exact price points remain unconfirmed until the official release presentation on July 15.
