Motorola has launched its new smartphone Moto G22 as Motorola’s new budget phone in India. The company launched this phone in Europe last month. The Moto G22 sports a hole-punch display design, 90Hz display, and a 5,000mAh battery.
Moto G22 Specifications
Moto G22 smartphone runs on Android 12. The phone flaunts a 6.5-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) Max Vision display with 20:9 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh rate. The Moto G22 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G37 processor paired with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The Moto G22 offers 64GB of onboard storage, which is expandable up to 1TB via microSD card. The phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Moto G22 packs a 5,000mAh battery with 0W TurboPower charging support. The dimensions of this phone are 163.95×74.94mm, thickness is 8.49mm and weight is 185 grams.
The smartphone packs a quad rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. Apart from this, the Moto G22 also has a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
In terms of specifications, the dual-SIM (Nano) Moto G22 runs on Android 12 out-of-the-box. The phone comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) Max Vision display that has a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the Moto G22 carries an octa-core MediaTek Helio G37 SoC, coupled with an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU and 4GB of RAM. There is the quad rear camera setup that houses a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens. The camera setup also includes an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. Moreover, the rear camera setup is capable of recording full-HD videos at 30fps frame rate and is paired with an LED flash.
Connectivity options on the G22 include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, FM radio, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. The phone also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Moto G22 Price and Availibility in India
The price of 4GB + 64GB storage variant of G22 in India has been set at Rs 10,999. The phone will be available for sale via Flipkart from Wednesday, April 13. The smartphone comes in Cosmic Black, Iceberg Blue and Mint Green color options, though Mint Green will be available later. There will be a bank discount of Rs 1,000 in the launch offer on the G22. There will also be a no-cost EMI facility for online customers. To recall, the smartphone was launched in Europe for EUR 169.99 (approximately Rs 14,000).
