    The launch of JioPhone Next, a 4G smartphone made in collaboration with Google and Reliance Jio, to be launched on September 10, has been postponed. The launch will now take place before Diwali, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) said in a statement issued late Thursday.

    Jio hasn’t revealed much about the upcoming smartphone, but it did reveal some details about the phone. For one thing, it apparently works on 4G – as it’s meant to work on the Reliance Jio network. It will also have Read Aloud and Translate Now features. The phone also comes preloaded with Google Play and India-specific Snapchat Lenses.

According to the leaked information, the JioPhone Next may run on Android 11 (Go Edition) and may have a 5.5-inch display. The phone could also come with Qualcomm QM215 SoC and 2,500mAh battery, dual-SIM support, and 2GB or 3GB RAM options as well as 16GB or 32GB storage options. However, these details have not been officially confirmed yet.
