Due to the lockdown due to COVID-19, IBF has offered 4 free channels on DTH and cable network for two months.

The Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF) has said that four TV channels are available for free. Lockdown has been declared due to COVID-19 across the country. In such a situation, the IBF has offered 4 free channels on DTH and cable network for two months. Earlier, Tata Sky had made one of its fitness channels available for free. This channel is Tata Sky Fitness.

While the constituents of the IBF face significant uncertainties, given the impact on Advertising revenue for the industry due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we stand together to support the Government’s effort to help people in these difficult times. As there is a state of lockdown in the country and the Government has urged the people to maintain ‘social distancing’ and stay at home, four major broadcasting networks have come forward and decided to waive off all tariffs and charges for four channels for a period of two months.

In a statement, IBF said, “Sony run Sony Pal, Star India run Star Utsav, Zee TV operated Zee Anmol and Viacom18’s Colors bouquet channel Colors Rishtey will be available to all viewers across the country for a period of two months free of charge on all DTH and cable networks. The broadcasting fraternity feels that this will provide people who are restricted to their homes, wholesome entertainment and invigorating content and will help provide relief during the period of lockdown,”.

IBF said that its members face significant uncertainties given the impact on advertising revenue for the industry due to the COVID-19 outbreak. However, in support of the country’s fight with COVID-19 outbreak these four major broadcasting networks have come forward and decided to waive off all tariffs and charges for four channels for a period of two months, it added.

    What Was Earlier Price

The price before Sony Pal was 1 rupee. The Star Utsav channel was earlier priced at Rs 1. The earlier price of Zee Anmol was Rs 0.1. At the same time, the earlier price of Colors Rishtey was 1 rupee.

Tata Sky Fitness channel made available for free

Tata Sky’s fitness channel comes at number 110. This can be seen through live TV and VOD on the company’s official mobile app. It has been made available in English, Hindi and Telugu languages. Let me tell you that there are many experts on this channel who will tell you many important things related to fitness. Due to the lockdown, this channel of Tata Sky, which was earlier taken for 2 rupees per day, has now been made available for free.
