Google Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL Price Leaked Ahead of Launch

Google looks set to launch a new pair of flagship smartphones next week, and the bigger of the two will be the Google Pixel 4 XL. It’s likely to have very similar specifications to the Pixel 4, but we can expect a bigger screen and a bigger battery. Here’s everything we know about it so far.

Google Pixel 4 is arguably the most leaked smartphone of the year. If you aren’t sure why then you probably haven’t been keeping up with the rumor mill which has been spewing at least one, sometimes even two and even three reports daily for the past two months. But if you have been paying close attention to the reports about Google’s upcoming premium budget smartphone chances are that you already know what this new report highlights, that is, the specs.

Google Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL Price Leaked Ahead of Launch

The specifications of Google Pixel 4 and the Google Pixel 4 XL smartphones have leaked online and they confirm the countless reports that have been circulating on the internet in the past couple of month. According to the folks at 9To5 Google, who got their hands on the official specs sheet for the two Pixel 4 smartphones, Pixel 3 successors will come with Pixel Neural Core, which will replace the Pixel Visual Core that was present in last year’s Pixel smartphones and provided the two phones their image supremacy. The name indicates that Pixel 4’s camera will use neural networks to process images.

As far as the rest of the specifications are concerned, both the Pixel 4 and the Pixel 4 XL smartphones will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and have Pixel Neural Core to process images. They will sport 6GB RAM and come with either 64GB memory or 128GB internal space. There is a dual rear camera setup in the two Pixel 4 smartphones consisting of a 12MP dual-pixel lens and a 16MP telephoto lens. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL successors will come with stereo speakers and a USB Type C port. In addition to that, the two phones will come with face unlock technology, motion-sensing – a feature that Google has already ‘leaked’ and the Titan M security module.

These are the similarities. The two phones, as expected differ in terms of screen and battery. While the Pixel 4 smartphone will come with a 5.7-inch Full HD+ Smooth Display, Pixel 4 XL will come with a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ Smooth Display display. Both the phones will come with an Ambient EQ feature that is essentially Google’s equivalent of Apple’s True Tone technology. In terms of the battery, while Pixel 4 will come with a 2,800mAh battery, Pixel 4 XL will come with a 3,700mAh battery.

Interestingly, the report notes that Google will not be shipping USB-C earbuds that last year’s Pixel 3 came in the box in the US. However, this may change based on the country where the device is being sold owing to the local laws.
