    Google Chromecast With 4K HDR Support Launched: Price, Specifications

    In the new Google Chromecast, users have been given dedicated remote and Google TV’s 4K HDR HDR support. Chromecast launched along with Google TV support has voice control support and many special features.

    Google has unveiled its most awaited smartphone Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G at the recently held event. Along with this, the company has also launched the Nest Audio smart speaker and the new Chromecast. Talking about the new Chromecast, it has been introduced with Google TV support and users will get 4K HDR feature support. It is equipped with many advanced features compared to the previous Chromecast.

    The Chromecast with Google TV is priced at $49.99 (roughly Rs. 3,700) in the US and will go on sale starting today. Availability in other countries can be expected by the end of the year, the company said. The dongle comes with a touch and voice-control remote. As of now, Google has not shared India’s availability or pricing for the new device. It comes in Sky, Snow, and Sunrise color options. The company launched the Google Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 at the same event.

    Chromecast with Google TV has been introduced on the new platform of Google TV. This device works on the Android TV platform. It has a USB Type C power adapter. In addition, the remote has two AAA batteries. This device supports 4K HDR up to 60fps. It has features like Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Vision, DTSX, HDR10 +, and h.265 streams.

    Talking about other features Dual-Band Wi-Fi support and Bluetooth have been provided for connectivity in the new device of Google. It weighs only 55 grams and the remote that comes with it weighs only 33 grams. In the remote, you will find shortcut buttons for YouTube and Netflix. Along with this, mute, home, and back buttons have also been provided. It has voice control support with the help of which users can control it easily.

    The remote for the device with Google TV comes with shortcuts for YouTube and Netflix, along with a mute button, home button, back button, Google Assistant button, and a 4-way D-pad for navigation. It has a CEC feature which means the volume of the TV can be controlled with the remote. There is no IR transmitter in the remote. You can do a voice search by holding down the Google Assistant button and the universal search shows results from all major streaming services.

    You can also choose to save a number of streaming services to your Google account from the Chromecast with Google TV so that you can get better recommendations across Google.

    Being an Android TV dongle, it comes with support for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Spotify, Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max, and more, out of the box. In terms of aesthetics, the new Chromecast with Google TV has a more elongated design compared to the circular shape of the previous generation Chromecast.
