All the DTH operators are currently rushing to bring OTT services on their platforms. With the advent of the new platforms which are accessible over laptops and smartphones easily and stream content over the internet, the DTH operators are fearful that their viewers might be distracted away from the core offerings.

As such, the effort of these companies is now towards bringing the OTT content on the bigger screens, and they seem to be doing it by means of external devices, hybrid set-top boxes and more. D2h is also not far behind in this regard, and the DTH company has introduced its D2h Magic Stick which the subscribers will be able to use to stream OTT content on their TVs. Here are some more details about the D2h Magic Stick.D2H Magic Stick

    D2h Magic Stick Features

The D2h Magic Stick bears a very uncanny resemblance to a product that DishTV offers to its subscribers, and it is called the DishSMRT Stick. In functionality too, the D2h Magic Stick provides similar features. Using the D2h Magic Stick, the subscribers will be able to access OTT platforms on their TV screens. It is worth noting that the D2h Magic Stick is an internet-based dongle, this means that subscribers will first have to plug the stick in their D2h set-top box, after this, they will be required to set up an internet connection to which they can connect their D2h Magic Stick. Once connected, the subscribers will be able to stream OTT content on their TV screens.

D2h Magic Stick Pricing and Availability

When it comes to the pricing of the D2h Magic Stick, the subscribers will only have to pay Rs 399 as one time cost. It is worth noting that the original cost of Magic Stick seems to be Rs 999 as per the official website, but right now, the Magic Stick is retailing for a discounted price of Rs 399. Along with this, the subscribers will be charged a monthly service fee of Rs 25 plus GST every month, after three months of free service. The website has also noted that the D2h Magic Stick will only be compatible with HDRF (v7000 series) box only.

The D2h Magic Stick will avail applications like the Watcho app, Sony LIV app, ZEE5, ALTBalaji and Hungama Play. On these applications, the viewers will be able to access movies, TV shows, and web-series. To get a new D2h Magic Stick for pairing up with your D2h subscription, the subscribers will have to fill out a form available on the D2h website after which they will be contacted by the D2h representative to provide the D2h Magic Stick. Lastly, the D2h Magic Stick also comes with a six months warranty which ensures that in case of any failure, the device will be replaced.
