BSNL has extended the validity of the work from home offer for its users till May 19. Under this offer, users will get 5GB data daily.
Public sector telecom company BSNL launched its ‘Work from Home’ internet plan last month. Under this plan, users are offered 5GB of internet data for a month. In view of the current lockdown, the company has extended the validity of disregarding this plan until May 19. Now users will be able to take advantage of this offer until May 19. Information about this has been tweeted by the company’s Tamil Nadu Telecom Circle. Users will now be able to avail of this promotional offer till May 19. In this plan, users are offered 5GB data at a speed of 10Mbps.
Originally, BSNL launched the broadband plan for its landline subscribers in March with a validity of one month until April 19. It debuted in all circles, including the Andaman and Nicobar circle. Moreover, the extension was expected as the government recently extended the nationwide lockdown until May 3. The lockdown, which is aimed to limit the coronavirus spread, was initially applicable until April 14.
Even if the user has used this 5GB daily data, he will continue to get free unlimited internet at low speed. This plan of BSNL is available for broadband and landline users. This plan of the company is available for all telecom circles in the country. To avail of this plan, users do not need to submit any kind of security deposit. Users can avail of this plan by calling the company’s toll-free number 1800-345-1504. Let’s know that this offer is for the users of Aging.
In terms of benefits, the Work@Home broadband plan by BSNL has a daily quota of 5GB at 10Mbps speed. Exceeding the limit will bring down the speed to 1Mbps. The plan also includes a free email ID with a 1GB storage space. Further, it doesn’t require any monthly charges and is available without a security deposit. There will, however, not be any changes to the existing voice calling subscription and call charges will be as per the landline plan.
BSNL has extended the validity of the plans till May 5, giving relief to all its prepaid users in the coronavirus lockdown. The company had earlier also offered free incoming calls and talk time of Rs 10 to the users till April 20 in the first lockdown announced from March 24. After the second phase of lockdown started on April 15, the company has now extended the validity till May 5 so that users can stay connected with their family members and friends in this difficult time.
