    BSNL Introduces STV 118 With Unlimited Calls and Data Benefits

    BSNL has extended unlimited free voice calls even-if you are in MTNL circles like Mumbai and Delhi with Rs 118 STV pack

    BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) and MTNL (Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited) have recently received relief from Cabinet with approval to merge both the entity as a one and it seems we can see the changes very shortly starting from now. While the merger has been planned to happen in the coming months, the company has announced by providing free voice calls to MTNS customers in Mumbai & Delhi Circle.

    BSNL has recently been attempting difficult to make strides its offering to draw in more subscribers. In a bid to come to the frontier of the ongoing tariff war, BSNL is offering various recharge pack to fulfill unlimited call requirement of subscribers. STV Rs 118 offers 0.5GB data to the prepaid customers along with unlimited calls with a validity of 28 days. The new STV 118 plan is available for all telecom circles of BSNL India.

    BSNL has taken to Twitter to announce STV 118 unlimited plan that offers unlimited calls to any network and with mobile data benefits. This means the Rs 118 prepaid plan that offers 28 days validity, unlimited calls to any network, unlimited national roaming calls including MTNL network in Mumbai and Delhi circle, 100 SMS messages per day, and unlimited mobile data with high speed of 0.5GB and up to 40Kbps of speed after consumption of 0.5GB. The daily data benefit will total to 14GB for 29 days from which the company will add 0.5GB on a daily basis.

    BSNL will also bundle up a free personalized ring back tone known as caller tunes with this offer, giving users the ability to change unlimited songs for 28 days.

    As of now, the company is providing its service in 20 telecom circles, while MTNL operates for Mumbai & Delhi telecom circles only. Once the merger process has been completed, it seems there will be only one state-run telecom operator and it could be under the brand name of BSNL and for MTNL customers, they might have to migrate to BSNL. Till now, we have no official confirmation on the Road-map of the merger and the Brand name and subscriber base, but the initiative from BSNL by offering free voice calls will definitely attract the consumer.

    Also, the company has a surplus of prepaid plans under its belt and most of them do not offer unlimited voice calling when you’re in Mumbai and Delhi circles because MTNL operates in those circles. According to the information available on the BSNL website, BSNL’s three more popular prepaid plans- Rs 429, Rs 485 and Rs 666 will also offer free voice calls to MTNL mobile customers as well. For example, you’re a BSNL customer on Rs 429 prepaid recharge, and now, you can make free voice calls to MTNL customers as well for Mumbai and Delhi circle.

    Since the announcement of IUC calls from Reliance Jio, BSNL is trying to win back their customer by bringing many offers in the market. The company has also recently announced its prepaid recharge voicer with the cheapest one of Rs 96 and bundled with free calls up to 250 minutes per day having 28 days of the validity period.

    Having said that, in a recent relief from Government of India, The Government will also issue a 4G spectrum at year “2016” spectrum price to BSNL  and its’ already confirmed that BSNL will deploy 60,000 4G sites in the next 15 months, which means India will now have a 4G battel among BSNL vs Other telecom operators.
