BSNL has revised its Bharat fiber broadband plan. These plans were launched in October this year. These are all the company’s affordable plans and now users will get double the internet speed than before.
Government-owned telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) upgraded its broadband plans on December 20, 2020, to double the speeds with its regular broadband plans which start from Rs 499. BSNL had launched promotional broadband plans in October 2020 starting from Rs 449 that can be availed till December 29, 2020. There is no word from the telco to regularise those plans as of now. However, BSNL has brought improvements to its regular broadband plans like increasing the post FUP speed limits, and now it has announced faster speeds for these plans. Let’s have a look at the upgraded broadband plans.
Users will get 100Mbps speed
In BSNL’s broadband plans, users will get the benefit of 100Mbps speed and in addition, some plans are also being given premium access to Disney + Hotstar. The plans that have been revised are all the company’s Affordable Bharat Fiber Plans.
Talking about BSNL’s 499 rupees fiber broadband plan, it will get a speed of 50mbps and users can use it up to 100GB. After this limit is over, the speed will be reduced to 2Mbps. On the plan of Rs 779, users will get up to 300GB of data with a speed of 100mbps. Along with this, you will also get access to Disney + Hotstar. This speed increases to 5Mbps after the FUP limit. Apart from this, Disney + Hotstar subscriptions are also being offered in the Rs 1,499 plan.
At the same time, in the 600GB CUL broadband plan of Rs 849, users can avail of up to 600GB of data with 100mbps speed every month. Apart from this, 500GB data is being given with 100mbps speed in the plan of Rs 949 and Disney + Hotstar access is also available in it. In the 1,277 Bharat Fiber plan, users will have 3.3TB data available with a speed of 200mbps. Apart from this, 4TB data with 200Mbps speed will be made available in the plan of Rs 1,999.
Now, BSNL announced that it will give 20 Mbps speed for plans priced above Rs 1,499. This includes Bharat Fiber broadband plans priced at Rs 1999, Rs 2499, Rs 4499, Rs 5999, Rs 9999, and Rs 16,999. All these plans give 200 Mbps speed with 4TB data per month except for the Rs 16,999 prepaid plan that will give 170GB data per day.
