    Bharti Airtel Launches Three New Prepaid Plans to Compete With Jio

    Airtel has revised some of its prepaid recharge plans that offer free Disney + Hotstar Mobile subscription for one year. The updated prepaid plans start at Rs 499 and go up to Rs 2798.

    Telecom giants company Bharti Airtel (“Airtel”) often keeps updating its plans and services keeping in mind the needs of its users. Recently, the company has revised some of its prepaid recharge plans to include a Disney + Hotstar Mobile subscription for one year. The updated prepaid plans start at Rs 499 and go up to Rs 2,798. These are priced higher than the earlier Airtel prepaid plans that come with Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription – which costs between Rs 448 and Rs 2,698.

    With Disney+ Hotstar Mobile access for its prepaid customers, Airtel has updated its postpaid plan to offer over-the-top (OTT) service without any additional charges. Two private telecom operators VI and Jio in India have also revised their prepaid and postpaid recharge plans with Disney+ Hotstar Mobiles.

    List of Airtel prepaid recharge plans that now come with a one-year subscription to Disney+ Hotstar Mobile starting at Rs 499.

    Rs 499 prepaid plan

    Bharti Airtel Hotstar Plans

    499 plan, which is the cheapest. It offers 3GB daily data, ‘truly unlimited’ voice calls, and 100 SMS per day for 28 days. The benefits with the new Rs 499 Airtel prepaid plan are notably the same as what the operator was offering with its Rs 448 plan. Which previously came with Disney + Hotstar VIP subscription. Airtel plan of Rs 448 is also no longer available.

    Rs 699 prepaid plan

    Bharti Airtel Hotstar Plans

    Apart from the Rs 499 plan, Airtel offers a Rs 699 plan that comes with Disney+ Hotstar mobile subscription. It offers 2GB of data, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMS per day for 56 days. The benefits here are also the same that Airtel was offering earlier with Rs 599. which is now closed.

    Rs 2,798 prepaid plan

    The Last Airtel prepaid recharge plan offering a one-year Disney+ Hotstar Mobile subscription costs Rs 2,798. It offers 2GB of data every day, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMS messages per day for 365 days. Airtel’s old plan used to come with the same benefits for Rs 2,698 which is no longer available.

    Bharti Airtel Hotstar Plans

    In addition to Disney+ Hotstar Mobile, Airtel is offering a 30-day free trial of the Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition version, HelloTunes, and Wynk Music access with its updated prepaid plan. Customers also get a one-year online course from Shaw Academy and Rs 100 cashback on purchasing a FASTag from the Airtel app.

    Airtel Postpaid Plans with Disney+ Hotstar Mobile

    Similar to the revision in its prepaid plans, Airtel has started offering Disney+ Hotstar Mobiles with its postpaid plans. Infinity Family plan is available for Rs 499 per month and Family Infinity is available for Rs 999 and Rs 1,599. The telco also offers a one-year subscription to Amazon Prime with its postpaid plan in addition to the Disney+ Hotstar mobile subscription.

    Customers who don’t want to go with any of the revised Airtel prepaid or postpaid plans can separately get Disney+ Hotstar Mobile for Rs 499 per year.

    Similar to Airtel, VI has also revised its prepaid recharge plan portfolio to offer an annual Disney+ Hotstar mobile subscription, with plans starting at Rs 501. Jio earlier this week also updated its prepaid plans to offer OTT platform subscriptions starting at Rs 499.

    On Thursday, Airtel also hosted a virtual briefing to announce the performance of its cloud gaming experience on its 5G network in Manesar, Gurugram. This was a part of the ongoing 5G testing using the sub-6GHz spectrum allotted by the DoT. The operator partnered with the French company Blacknut and brought in gamers Naman Mathur “Mortal” and Salman Ahmed “Mamba” to test the experience.
