Apple MacBook Air 2022: The Cupertino-based tech giant Apple is expected to come up with a new version of its MacBook Air that will sport a 13.3-inch Mini-LED display. It is believed that the company will launch it in 2022. This could mean that Apple may launch it during WWDC 2022 or even during its spring event. In addition, Apple is about to release the new MacBook Pro later this year. The next-gen MacBook Pro can be launched in the third quarter of this year i.e. between September and November.
This MacBook Pro will come with a mini-LED display. Simultaneously, TF Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed that the company is also working on a MacBook Air with a mini-LED display, which could be launched in 2022. It can be powered by an Apple M1X processor.
Apple MacBook Air Expected Features
The new Air will come with a smaller display than the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros. Along with the new display technology, the upcoming MacBook Air will reportedly feature MagSafe charging, a slimmer and lighter design, as well as two USB 4 ports.
Mini-LED is a relatively new display technology that is designed to offer some of the benefits of OLED, such as better contrast levels and better dynamic range, without the risk of burn-in. It made its Apple debut on this year’s 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
A report previously listed about half a dozen Apple devices to be migrated to the new display, including the 27-inch iMac Pro, 14.1-inch MacBook Pro, 16-inch MacBook Pro, 10.2 iPad, and 7.9-inch iPad Mini .
Apple may also bring back an HDMI port and SD card slot with MagSafe charging. The much-hyped OLED Touch Bar of the MacBook Pro may finally add to these models.
