    Apple Introduced iOS 14.4.2, and WatchOS 7.3.3 With Enhanced Security Feature

    Apple has introduced its latest iOS version, after which users will not have to face the problem of security coming to the device. That is, an attempt has been made to fix the security version with the help of the latest iOS version.

    Apple has rolled out iOS 14.4.2, iPadOS 14.4.2 and watchOS 7.3.3 to facilitate its users. With the help of this new OS, the security problem facing the users in the old device has been fixed. Along with this, the company has also issued an advisory for its users, which provides information about upgrading as soon as possible. There are also many important information related to this on the company’s security page, which states that the new update is WebKit Security Fix. Which is used on Apple’s browser engine and Safari web browser.

    Enhanced Security Feature in iOS 14.4.2

    Apple says that WebKit security may have been misused. So the company has also released iOS 12.5.2 and iPadOS 12.5.2 to patch the WebKit security issue in older iPhone and iPad models running iOS 12. Let us know that the company had rolled out iPadOS 14.4 a month ago and has now released iPad 14.4.1. Apple released the iOS 14.4, iPad 14.4, and watchOS 7.3 feature updates in January. A new major update to the latest iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch models is due later this year.

    Apple iOS 14.4.2

    The company’s iOS 14.4.2 update is available for all devices on the iPhone 6s and beyond. At the same time, iPadOS 14.2.2 has been introduced for all models of iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad 5th generation and all models, iPad mini 4 and all subsequent models and iPod touch. At the same time, iPadOS 12.5.2 can be used in iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3 and iPod touch. Apart from this, watchOS 7.3.3 will fix the security problem coming in Apple Watch Series 3 and above. If you have not received the notification for the new update then you can check it by going to your device’s settings.

    Apple in its support page stated that a security vulnerability has been found in the Webkit, which is used in iPhone 6s and later, iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th generation and later, iPad mini 4 and later, and iPod touch (7th generation). The Cupertino-giant said that the flaw could lead to universal cross-site scripting. Apple stated that it was aware of the bug. “Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited,” the note read.

    Apple iOS 14.4.2

    Users who have iPhone 6s and later can update their phones to the latest iOS 14.2.2 to fix the vulnerability found in the WebKit. iPad users with iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th generation and later, iPad mini 4 and later can update their devices to iPadOS 14.2.2. For Apple Watch users, the update applies to Apple Watch Series 3 and later. To download the latest iOS update, go to your Settings > Software Update and tap on Install Now.

    Apple has been reportedly testing the iOS 14.5 update. Apple had said that it plans to bring in new emojis with special emphasis on the COVID-19 vaccine. It will also replace the headphone emoji with its AirPods Max emoji. “iOS and iPadOS 14.5 beta 2 includes an optimization to reduce the appearance of a dim glow that might appear at reduced brightness levels with black backgrounds,” reads Apple’s beta notes read.
