Amazon has announced that the Great Indian Festival 2026 sale will begin in India on October 8, with discounts planned across smartphones, electronics, fashion, appliances and other categories. The e-commerce platform has also confirmed a 10% instant discount on eligible SBI credit and debit card transactions, including eligible EMI purchases, while Prime members can get up to 10% additional savings on select offers.

iPhone 16 and Galaxy S25 Ultra deals expected

Amazon has started highlighting smartphones that could receive attractive prices during the festive sale. The iPhone 16 and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra are among the devices drawing attention ahead of the event.

However, Amazon has not yet confirmed the final sale prices for these individual smartphones. Recent reports based on Amazon’s Rufus AI had also pointed to the iPhone 15, iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro, along with the Galaxy S25 Ultra, as products that could see major offers. These should be treated as expected deals until Amazon publishes the actual prices.

    10% SBI card discount confirmed

The confirmed bank offer is a 10% instant discount for eligible SBI credit and debit card transactions, including qualifying credit card EMI purchases. Amazon has also advertised up to 10% additional savings for Prime members on select offers.

The actual saving on an individual product will depend on the applicable offer terms, including eligibility, minimum transaction value and any discount cap. Buyers should therefore check the offer conditions at checkout rather than assuming that every product will receive the full 10% discount.

Amazon Great Indian Festival sale date

The Great Indian Festival 2026 will officially begin on October 8. Amazon is promoting the event as its major festive shopping sale, with offers spanning smartphones, televisions, computers, appliances, fashion, beauty, home products and everyday essentials.

Amazon has also announced exchange offers, No Cost EMI options and different sale formats such as Blockbuster Deals, Top 100 Deals, Mega Deals and 8 PM Deals. The company says customers can expect new product launches alongside the festive discounts.

More smartphone offers could be revealed

The iPhone 16 and Galaxy S25 Ultra are likely to remain among the most watched smartphones during the sale, but the final list of discounted models has not been fully disclosed.

Reports have also identified several OnePlus, iQOO and other smartphones as potential candidates for sale offers. Some deal reports have suggested specific prices, but those figures are not confirmed by Amazon and should not be presented as final sale prices.

With the Great Indian Festival scheduled to start in October, Amazon is expected to reveal more product-specific prices and offers closer to the sale.
