    Airtel Payments Banks Launches ‘Safe Pay’ to Restrict Online Frauds

    Airtel Payments Banks Launches ‘Safe Pay’ to Restrict Online Frauds

    Safe Pay is a security feature that can be availed by Airtel Payments Bank Savings Account customers with an Airtel Mobile number linked to the account. It provides an additional real-time alert to the customers at the time of a UPI or Net banking transaction right before the debit of the customer’s account.

    Airtel launches Safe Pay feature, digital payment will be more secure On behalf of Airtel, the new feature Airtel Safe Pay has been launched on Wednesday. This will make digital payment more secure than before and a reduction in online payment fraud can be recorded. Airtel customer said that the user will get extra layer of security by making UPI or net banking payment from Airtel payment bank. This layer provides an additional standard two-step verification process. India’s first innovation Airtel Safe-Pay has been introduced by Airtel, which will prevent incidents of banking fraud, phishing, passwords.

    “Airtel Safe Pay leverages Airtel’s telecom exclusive strength of network intelligence to provide an additional layer of payment validation compared to the industry norm of two-factor authentication,” the subsidiary of Bharti Airtel Ltd said.

    Airtel Safe Pay will allow customers of the payments bank to conduct digital transactions across merchants, online retailers, and transfer money. Customers can open an Airtel Payments Bank account through a video call using the Airtel Thanks application.

    “As digital payments become the norm, especially in the post-pandemic world, we also have to solve the challenges of frauds that are growing rapidly,” said Anubrata Biswas, managing director & chief executive officer (MD & CEO), Airtel Payments Bank.

    Adarsh Nair, chief product officer, Airtel, said the safe pay gateway will offer the most secure digital payments platforms to the company’s users. Airtel Safe Pay is yet another innovation where our secure network and world-class digital platforms combine to solve a unique market problem.

    How Airtel Safe Pay will be enabled

    First of all, the Airtel Thanks application has to be opened on the phone. You have to click on the banking section of the bottom menu.
    Have to click on Safe Pay. To be enabled by tapping on the toggle button. After this, UPI and Net Banking will have to be checked. After enabling Airtel Safe Pay, you will get a top card on activating Safe Pay.

    How Airtel Safe will work

    If you pay from the UPI of Airtel Payment Bank, you will have to enter 4 digits Mpin. Only after this, the payment can be completed. You will get additional security to enable Airtel Safe Pay. For this, payment transaction payment has to be accepted.

    Google announced to strengthen privacy

    Like Airtel, Google has announced to strengthen its privacy. Google has said in its blog post that the latest version of Chrome 88 will offer many new features, which are very important in terms of user privacy. Since the introduction of the new privacy feature of Google Chrome, the user will get a variety of options to create strong passwords. Also, Google Chrome will be issued an alert for weak passwords.
