Airtel 5G Plus services has been launched in Kolkata, which means that there are now 26 cities in West Bengal with access to live 5G services. Customers of Airtel who have devices that are compatible with 5G can use the high-speed Airtel 5G Plus network at no extra charge until it becomes more widely accessible.

Airtel, one of India’s leading telecommunications companies, has launched its highly anticipated 5G Plus network in Kolkata. The company has been working tirelessly to bring the latest in cellular technology to its customers, and the launch of 5G Plus is a significant step forward in that effort.

Airtel has been actively testing 5G Plus in various parts of the country, and the company is now ready to offer the service to its customers in Kolkata. With 5G Plus, Airtel is aiming to deliver faster speeds, lower latency, and increased reliability, all of which are essential for the growing demands of modern digital services.

Commenting on the launch, Ayan Sarkar, CEO – West Bengal, Bharti Airtel said, “I am delighted to announce the roll-out of Airtel 5G Plus in Kolkata in addition to Haldia, Ranaghat, Contai, Krishnanagar, Puruliya, Bongaon, Bankura, Raniganj, Kolaghat and more. Airtel customers in these twenty-six cities can now experience the power of ultrafast 5G network and enjoy speeds up to 20-30 times faster than the current 4G speeds. We are in the process of lighting up the entire city which will allow customers to enjoy superfast access to high-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos and more.”

Airtel will introduce its 5G Plus services to customers in phases, as the company builds its network and completes the roll-out. Customers who have 5G-enabled devices can use the high-speed Airtel 5G Plus network without any extra charges until the service is available to a wider audience. Airtel will expand its network and eventually provide its services to cities throughout the state. Furthermore, customers can now enjoy ultra-fast, dependable, and secure 5G Plus services without any concerns about data usage, as the company has eliminated data caps across all existing plans.

Airtel 5G Plus is built on top of the company’s existing 4G network infrastructure, which means that customers will be able to seamlessly transition between the two networks. The new 5G Plus network will offer speeds of up to 1 Gbps, which is ten times faster than the average 4G speed in India. The network will also provide lower latency, which means that there will be less delay in transmitting data between devices, making it ideal for services such as gaming, virtual and augmented reality.

The launch of Airtel 5G Plus will also have a significant impact on businesses in Kolkata. The new network will enable companies to implement new technologies such as IoT (Internet of Things) and machine learning, which will allow them to automate and optimize their operations. It will also allow businesses to offer new services and products that were not possible with the previous generation of cellular technology.

Airtel has been working closely with its partners to ensure that the launch of 5G Plus goes smoothly. The company has partnered with Ericsson, Nokia, and Huawei for the deployment of the network, and it has also worked with Qualcomm to ensure that its smartphones are compatible with the new technology. Airtel has also invested heavily in upgrading its existing infrastructure to support 5G Plus.

To access 5G Plus, Airtel customers will need a compatible smartphone that supports the new technology. Airtel has already announced that it will offer a range of 5G Plus compatible smartphones, including the latest models from Samsung, Apple, and OnePlus. Customers who wish to upgrade their smartphone can do so by visiting an Airtel store or by ordering online.

Over the past year, Airtel has exhibited the capabilities of 5G by showcasing various impactful use cases that are likely to transform how customers lead their lives and conduct business. These include the first live Airtel 5G network in Hyderabad, India’s first private 5G network at the BOSCH facility in Bengaluru, and collaborating with Mahindra & Mahindra to establish the first 5G-enabled automobile manufacturing unit at the Chakan facility. Airtel has been leading the way in 5G innovation.

The launch of 5G Plus is part of Airtel’s larger plan to offer the latest in digital services to its customers. The company has been investing heavily in expanding its network infrastructure and partnering with leading technology companies to ensure that it stays at the forefront of the telecommunications industry. With the launch of Airtel 5G Plus, Airtel has once again demonstrated its commitment to providing its customers with world-class digital experiences.
