Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio offer YouTube Premium through their Rs 200 prepaid data and entertainment vouchers. Both provide 30GB of additional data for 28 days, but Jio adds access to more than a dozen named streaming services and over 1,000 live TV channels, while Airtel combines YouTube Premium with its own multi-OTT entertainment bundle.

For subscribers who want ad-free YouTube without paying for a separate subscription, both recharges are worth considering. The better choice depends on which entertainment services you use, how you access them and whether your existing prepaid plan qualifies for additional 5G benefits.

Both packs are entertainment-focused add-ons rather than complete prepaid plans. Customers should maintain an eligible active base recharge for continued mobile service and check the operator’s current terms before purchasing.

Airtel Rs 200 plan: YouTube Premium with multiple OTT services

Airtel has added YouTube Premium to its existing Rs 200 entertainment top-up. The pack provides 30GB of additional data for 28 days, making it an option for subscribers who want to stream videos, listen to music and access other entertainment services without buying separate data and OTT add-ons.

The YouTube Premium subscription includes ad-free video playback, background play, offline downloads and access to YouTube Music Premium, subject to the subscription’s terms.

Airtel’s bundle also includes Prime Video Mobile Edition, JioHotstar, ZEE5 Premium, SonyLIV and additional entertainment services through its Xstream Play offering. The availability and access method for individual services should be checked in the Airtel app before recharging.

How to activate YouTube Premium on Airtel

    1. Ensure your Airtel prepaid number has an active base plan.
    2. Recharge with the Rs 200 entertainment top-up.
    3. Open the Airtel Thanks app.
    4. Navigate to the Rewards & OTTs section.
    5. Select the YouTube Premium benefit and follow the activation instructions.

The bundled YouTube Premium benefit lasts for the 28-day validity period. Customers who want to continue using it after expiry will need to check and renew the eligible offer.

One important limitation is that the Rs 200 recharge does not replace a regular plan providing calling, SMS and service validity. It is intended to supplement an existing prepaid connection.

Jio Rs 200 OTT Pass: More than YouTube Premium

Jio’s Rs 200 OTT Pass also offers 30GB of data for 28 days, along with YouTube Premium and Prime Video Mobile Edition. The key attraction is its collection of additional streaming services and access to live television through the JioTV app.

    The named OTT services include:

    • YouTube Premium
    • Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition
    • JioHotstar
    • SonyLIV
    • ZEE5
    • Lionsgate Play
    • Discovery+
    • Sun NXT
    • FanCode
    • Hoichoi
    • Chaupal
    • Kanccha Lannka
    • Planet Marathi
    • Times Play
    • Tarang Plus

Jio also advertises access to more than 1,000 live TV channels through JioTV. Sports channels are excluded from the stated live-TV offering, so customers should not assume that every television channel or sporting event is included.

How to activate YouTube Premium on Jio

    1. Keep an eligible Jio prepaid base plan active.
    2. Recharge with the Rs 200 OTT Pass.
    3. Open the MyJio app.
    4. Locate and claim the YouTube Premium benefit.
    5. Follow the activation instructions. Other bundled services may be accessed through JioTV or their designated apps.

YouTube Premium and Prime Video Mobile Edition require activation through MyJio. The other bundled services may have their own access restrictions or content limitations.

Jio also advertises a Cinepolis discount with the pack, subject to the offer’s conditions. Check the MyJio app for the current coupon terms before assigning value to that benefit.

    Which operator offers better value?

The headline price, data allowance and validity are identical, so the decision comes down to the extra benefits.

Jio is the stronger fit for users who want a clearly listed collection of streaming services and live TV. Its Rs 200 OTT Pass includes a broad set of named platforms, access to JioTV channels and a Cinepolis offer. Customers who regularly watch television through their phones may find this combination particularly useful.

Airtel is worth considering for subscribers already using Airtel’s entertainment ecosystem. Its Rs 200 pack combines YouTube Premium with additional OTT services, including Prime Video Mobile Edition, JioHotstar, ZEE5 Premium and SonyLIV. Existing Airtel customers should check which services they can actually claim and use before comparing the bundle with Jio.

Neither pack offers unlimited high-speed data by default: each includes a 30GB data allowance. Jio’s separate unlimited 5G benefit depends on the subscriber’s eligibility and applicable base-plan terms; purchasing the Rs 200 OTT Pass alone should not be treated as a guarantee of unlimited 5G.

What about the actual cost of YouTube Premium?

YouTube Premium is the main attraction for customers who frequently watch videos or listen to music on their phones. It removes advertisements from supported YouTube content and adds background playback, offline downloads and YouTube Music Premium.

The Rs 200 recharge provides these benefits alongside 30GB of additional data and other entertainment services. However, the value depends on whether you will use the bundled services and whether you already pay for them separately.

For a subscriber who primarily wants YouTube Premium, the two plans cost the same. The deciding factor is therefore the usefulness of the remaining benefits rather than the headline price.

Customers should also remember that bundled subscriptions are tied to the offer’s validity and activation conditions. They should not assume that YouTube Premium remains active after the 28-day period ends.

    Airtel vs Jio: Final verdict

Both operators offer a similar core proposition: YouTube Premium, 30GB of data and 28 days of validity for Rs 200.

Jio has an advantage for customers who value a named list of OTT platforms and mobile live-TV access. Airtel may be more convenient for users who already rely on Airtel’s Xstream entertainment services.

Before recharging, compare the services you actually watch, check the activation process and confirm that your base plan is active. The best option is the one that fits your existing connection and entertainment habits—not necessarily the one advertising the longest list of benefits.

Plan details checked on 26 October 2026. Operators may change eligibility, bundled services, activation conditions and promotional benefits. Verify the latest terms in the Airtel Thanks or MyJio app before recharging.
