Jio Platforms is preparing global investor meetings ahead of a potential November IPO that could become India’s largest public listing.

Jio Platforms is preparing to take its proposed mega initial public offering to global investors, with international roadshows expected to begin as the Reliance Industries-backed digital company moves closer to a potential November 2026 listing.

The company received approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on August 28 for an IPO that could raise around $3.8 billion, or roughly Rs 37,700 crore. If completed at the currently discussed size, the offering could become India’s largest IPO, surpassing Hyundai Motor India’s $2.95 billion listing in 2024.

Recent reports indicate that Jio Platforms is preparing investor meetings across major financial centres including New York, London, Singapore and Hong Kong. The roadshows are expected to give global institutional investors an opportunity to assess Jio’s financial performance, telecom scale and expanding digital-services business before the company moves toward pricing and listing.

Jio Platforms Moves Into IPO Roadshow Phase

The planned roadshows represent a major transition for Jio Platforms after months of preparation for its public-market debut. The company is expected to use the meetings to present its growth strategy and financial profile to institutional investors ahead of the proposed issue.

Market reports currently place the potential IPO around the October-November festive period, with November emerging as the targeted listing window. The exact issue price, final valuation and listing date have not yet been announced.

The offering could raise around $3.8 billion to $4 billion depending on the eventual pricing and structure. Estimates have put Jio Platforms’ potential valuation in the broad $130 billion-plus range, although the final valuation will depend on the price discovered during the IPO process.

Rs 27,500 Crore to Go Toward Jio Debt

One of the most significant elements of the proposed IPO is how Jio Platforms plans to use the money raised.

According to the IPO documents, around Rs 27,500 crore of the proceeds is expected to be used to repay or prepay borrowings of Reliance Jio Infocomm, Jio Platforms’ telecom subsidiary. Reuters has also reported that the majority of the IPO proceeds are intended for debt repayment.

The move would strengthen the financial position of the broader Jio business while allowing the telecom operation to reduce its outstanding borrowings. It also gives public-market investors greater visibility into the financial relationship between Jio Platforms and Reliance Jio Infocomm.

Jio Has Grown Beyond Mobile Connectivity

Jio Platforms is entering the public markets as a much broader business than the telecom operation that launched in 2016.

The company has expanded across digital services, home broadband, enterprise connectivity, cloud, artificial intelligence and other technology businesses. Its scale in telecom remains central to the investment story, with Jio serving more than 500 million customers and ranking among the world’s largest mobile operators.

That diversification is likely to be a major part of the global investor pitch. Jio is increasingly positioning itself as a digital ecosystem rather than simply an Indian mobile operator, with connectivity providing the foundation for additional consumer and enterprise services.

Global Investors to Get a Closer Look

The international roadshow will be particularly important because Jio Platforms is seeking to attract large institutional investors at a valuation that could place the company among India’s most valuable listed businesses.

Meetings in New York, London, Singapore and Hong Kong would give Jio access to major pools of global capital and allow its management and investment banks to gauge demand before the final IPO pricing process.

The timing also comes during a strong period for India’s IPO market. Jio Platforms is part of a large pipeline of companies preparing to access public markets, while the National Stock Exchange is also progressing toward its own major listing.

Jio IPO Could Reshape India’s Telecom Valuations

For the Indian telecom sector, Jio Platforms’ listing could provide the market with a standalone public valuation for a business that has so far been assessed within the wider Reliance Industries structure.

The IPO could therefore become an important reference point for investors evaluating India’s telecom and digital-services sector. Beyond the headline fundraising figure, investors will be watching Jio’s subscriber scale, revenue growth, profitability, debt levels and ability to monetise its expanding digital ecosystem.

If Jio completes the listing at the expected scale, the IPO would mark another major stage in the company’s evolution from a disruptive telecom entrant into one of India’s largest technology and digital businesses.
