    Vivo Collaborates with Jio to Test its 5G Network on the Vivo X80 Series

    A partnership has been done between Vivo and Jio. In this partnership, the uploading and downloading speed of 4k videos will be tested on Jio’s 5G network.

    A partnership with Jio has been announced by Vivo. This partnership between the two companies has happened for 5G testing. In this partnership, Jio tested its 5G network on Vivo’s flagship smartphone Vivo X80. Vivo claims that the uploading and downloading speed of 4k videos were tested on Jio’s 5G network. By this it can be known that how is the downloading and uploading speed of Vivo X80 smartphone 5G network.

    Specifications of Vivo X80

    Vivo X80 smartphone has a 6.78-inch FHD + AMOLED display. Its screen refresh rate is 120Hz. MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC has been given as processor support. The phone comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage support. The phone has a 4,500mAh battery, which will get 80W fast charging support. The X80 has Android 12 based OriginOS Ocean.

    A Triple rear camera setup has been given in the phone. Its primary camera is 50MP. Apart from this, 12MP ultra wide sensor and 12MP portrait sensor have been given. A 32MP camera sensor has been given for selfie. For connectivity, The X80 has 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.3, GPS/ A-GPS, Infrared Blaster (IR), NFC and USB Type-C port. In-display fingerprint sensor has been given in the phone. The phone packs a 4500mAh battery with support for 80W flash charging. Vivo X80 smartphone weighs 206 grams.

    Having said this, the X80 from Vivo is a flagship 5G smartphone. In this, along with 4G connectivity, about 10 5G bands have been given for 5G connectivity. This proves that it is a future ready 5G smartphone.

    5G in India

    As of today, 5G is not commercially available for usage in India. The 5G spectrum auction is expected to happen later this year and the 5G service is likely to be introduced later this year or in 2023.

    In India, most smartphone manufacturers started launching phones with support for 5G a couple of years ago and two years later, most of the phones above Rs 20,000 are 5G enabled and there are a handful of 5G phones under Rs 20,000 as well. With so many phones already on the market, there could not be a better time for Indian telecom operators to launch the 5G service in India. This will also ensure the networks are ready to adapt to the most recent smartphones.
