    JioPhone Next to Launch by Diwali: Google CEO Sundar Pichai

    Google CEO Sundar Pichai said that Google has worked with Reliance to make Made in India affordable smartphones. Pichai said that a large number of people in India are shifting from feature phones to smartphones.

    The suspense remains for a long time regarding the launch date of the affordable smartphone JioPhone Next. However, now Google CEO Sundar Pichai has confirmed the launch date of Mukesh Ambani’s dream project JioPhone Next smartphone. Sundar Pichai told that the JioPhone Next smartphone will be launched in India by Diwali. He said that JioPhone Next will be equipped with localized capabilities. Alphabet company CEO Sundar Pichai said that Google has worked with Reliance to make Made in India affordable smartphones.

    Pichai said that India has been greatly affected by Kovid-19. But during this time the number of customers shifting from feature phones to smartphones has increased rapidly. In such a situation, JioPhone Next is going to prove to be a great smartphone for the customers shifting from feature phone to smartphone.

    This will work to open new doors of possibilities for first-time internet users. In such a situation, the launch of JioPhone Next is going to prove to be a milestone. It will witness digital transformation in India. This will have an impact in India for the next 3 to 4 years. Not only India but the Asia Pacific will be a big market for JioPhone Next.

    Pichai explained to investors that the JioPhone Next is seen as a foundation for digital transformation in India. The CEO added that over the next three to five years, this localised, feature-rich smartphone with an aggressive price tag will have a lot of impact.

    “We see a demand for people looking to shift from feature phones to smartphones. We are building a phone that is beyond just English, and getting languages, and getting the local needs right for people and doing it in a way that many more people can take advantages of a smartphone,” the executive explained during the earnings call. “Overall, India, just like Asia Pacific, continues to be an exciting market for us. We see strength across categories we are involved in. And so, you’ll continue to see us stay focussed there.”

    Expected price of JioPhone

    The price of JioPhone Next will be less than Rs 5000. According to media reports, JioPhone will be launched for Rs 3,499.

    Expected Specifications of JioPhone Next

    JioPhone Next smartphone will come with dual SIM with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage JioPhone Next smartphone will come with Snapdragon 215 processor support. Also, Google-made Pragat OS has been used in it. It will come with 4 Cortex-A53 cores and an integrated Adreno 306 GPU support. An HD + display will be given in the the smartphone. It will support 320 DPI (dots per inch) screen density. The phone will get a 5.5-inch screen. Its aspect ratio will be 18: 9. The smartphone will come with a 2500mAh battery. An 8MP front camera and 13MP rear camera will be given in JioPhone Next for photography.
