In the 44th Annual General Meeting of Reliance, Chairman Mukesh Ambani has made a big announcement regarding 5G service. Mukesh Ambani said that Reliance Jio will be the first to launch 5G in India. Reliance Jio 5G Speed
Reliance Jio has achieved a top speed of 1 Gbps during the 5G trial. Mukesh Ambani has termed Jio’s ‘Made in India’ solution as world-class. Mukesh Ambani said that 5G standalone networks have been installed at data centers spread across the country and due to the robust network architecture of Reliance Jio, upgradation from 4G to 5G can be done easily.

Referring to a self-reliant India, Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani said, “We are developing a full range of 5G devices with our leading global partners to develop an end-to-end 5G ecosystem. Jio will develop the best applications for healthcare, education, entertainment, retail, and the economy. An example of this is the state-of-the-art 5G connected ambulance that Reliance Jio is developing in association with Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital.
“Our own partnership spans multiple parts of Jio not just the communications business… but also health, retail and other things. And it allows us to bring our technology to many consumers in India in a broad-scale basis as well as to many businesses that are served by Reliance.”
While Google is working with other telecoms firms on 5G around the world, the scale of the Jio-Google cloud partnership is among the biggest for the California-headquartered company globally, said Kurian.
Jio disrupted India’s telecoms market in 2016 when it launched with cut-price data plans and free voice services. It forced several competitors out of the market and is now India’s biggest mobile carrier with more than 422 million customers.
