Sony Unveils PlayStation 5, Analyst Concerned About New Design

Sony introduced two models of PlayStaion5. One of these will come in 4K Blue Ray Drive and the other in Digital Edition. However Digital Edition will not have a disk drive.

Sony has released the design of its latest gaming console PlayStation 5. Also, Sony has also screened some games. Sony introduced two models of PlayStaion5. One of these will come in 4K Blue Ray Drive and the other in Digital Edition. However, the Digital Edition will not have a disk drive. The Sony PS5 gaming console can be placed vertically and horizontally. The design of the PlayStation 5 is quite futuristic, which will be significantly different from Micromax’s flagship Xbox Series X. If we talk about accessories, the camera, headphones, remote control can be seen in PlayStation 5.

PlayStation’s lead system architect Mark Cerny confirmed in March that the new console will feature an 8 Core CPU based AMD 7nm processor, which will come with a custom AMD RDNA 2 based GPU. Talking about RAM, the new console will get 16GB of GDDR6 RAM, which will come with a hard disk as before. The PS5 will get 8k graphics support.

Also, 4K graphics, 3D audio at 120Hz refresh rate will also be given. In addition, the PS5 console will support PS4 games. The device is meant to stand vertically like Series X, though it can be placed horizontally too. It has a white and black design, similar to what we saw on the new DualSense controller earlier. The controller will be included in the box with the PS5. In this, the company has also given a black colored PlayStation logo.

Sony gives high-profile games to PlayStation 5

The Insomniac-produced Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be released later this year. This brand new Spiderman game has been developed for PlayStation5. The popular Marvel superhero game ‘Spiderman: Into the Spider-verse’ was also a big hit earlier. The game may be released by the end of this year. Along with this, the racing game Gran Turismo 7 will also be released.

Apart from this, the PS5 will also be accompanied by the Resident Evil 8: Village game, which is the next sequel to the popular zombie-killing horror game. The game is scheduled to launch in 2021 next year. Also, the next game is Horizon Forbidden West which is a sequel to the popular Horizon Zero Dawn.

While the design looks a little outlandish for a gaming console, it is serving as ‘meme material’ for people on social media. The Sony PlayStation 5 has been compared to a Wi-Fi router, a computer, an aircraft, as a brand-new BMW i8, as Sauron’s Tower, and even as the face of Optimus Prime from the Transformers series. Those white protrusions, trolls say, looks like a popped collar of some anime character.

Sony detailed the PlayStation 5 series features at the reveal event, as well. Of course, there is a controller that comes in a black and white combination that matches with the color tones of the console. As we mentioned, there are two variants – one with a 4K Blu-ray disc drive and another that lacks it and is purely digital. There is a similar design to both the models, except for the thickness the former has. It also means the former is more expensive, but the pricing is not available yet.
