Messaging app WhatsApp has finally released its long-testing multi-device feature for beta users. Now users will be able to run one WhatsApp account on four different devices with the help of this feature. However, the company is yet to roll out the multi-device feature for stable users. Along with this, no information has been shared about the feature launch date.

WhatsApp Multi-Device Feature is Fully Encrypted

WhatsApp head Will Cathcart has said that WhatsApp’s multi-device feature will be end-to-end encrypted. This will keep the data of the users safe. No one will be able to see or read the chat except the user who sends the message to the recipient. The privacy of users will be maintained with our new technology.

He has further said that currently, the WhatsApp account remains active on a single device. But with the introduction of the multi-device feature, users will be able to use their WhatsApp account on different devices even if the phone’s battery is drained. Also, users will be given additional control with this feature to keep the account safe. At the same time, this feature will improve the user experience.

Having said this, the messaging app WhatsApp had released a feature called Mute Video for its users a long time ago. With the help of this feature, users can easily mute the video before sending it. That is, when other users get the video, they will not hear any sound in the video. The company believes that all users will benefit greatly from this feature.

Earlier, the company had rolled out a feature named Disappearing Messages. The specialty of this feature is that after it is activated, messages, photos, and videos sent on WhatsApp are automatically deleted after a week. Users do not have to delete messages, photos, or videos.
