Vodafone Idea has rolled out the WiFi calling feature in India and with the help of this feature, users will be able to make easy calls even without a network. In India, Reliance Jio and Airtel have rolled out the WiFi calling feature long back.
If you are Vodafone Idea users, then the good news for you is that the company has finally rolled out the WiFi calling feature after a long wait. That is, now Vodafone Idea users will be able to enjoy calling even without a network. Having said this, Airtel and Reliance Jio introduced the WiFi calling feature only last year whereas Vodafone Idea had to wait a long time for this. But still this service will be available in only two circles.
According to an online report, Vodafone Idea has currently launched its WiFi calling service in Maharashtra-Goa and Kolkata circles only. This means that only users of these two circles will be able to avail of this service. But the company will soon offer this service in other circles in a phased manner.
According to an online report, the customer care support team said, ‘Namaste! Wi-Fi calling (Wi-Fi calling) is an integrated service that allows you to make and receive voice calls over a wireless Internet connection such as your home broadband, office broadband, or public Wi-Fi. This will help you make voice calls in areas with the low network coverage. It is applicable for Maharashtra and Goa, Kolkata circles and has become available from 15 December 2020.’
Notably, Reliance Jio and Airtel have rolled out the WiFi calling feature last year. After which Vodafone Idea users were also eagerly waiting for this service. The company had informed its users some time ago that they are testing the Wi-Fi calling service. Some reports in early 2019 had said that Vodafone Idea will roll out WiFi calling feature before other telecom companies. But due to network integration of Vodafone and Idea, the company was not able to launch this service.
