    Reliance Jio,Postpaid

In October 2019 monthly bill for Reliance Jio Postpaid numbers, the company has not charged anything additional for calls made to non-jio network like Prepaid

With the announcement that Reliance Jio is no longer offering free and unlimited voice calls for its subscribers for calls made to other mobile networks, there is bound to be a reaction from Jio users who may be worried what this means for them. And the telecom industry as a whole. Reliance Jio says they will now charge Rs 0.06 per minute for calls made by subscribers using a Jio connection, which terminate on another mobile network such as Airtel, Vodafone-Idea or BSNL, for instance.

That means the local and STD calls from Jio to other mobile networks are no longer free and unlimited, unlike the tariff plans we had thus far for prepaid and postpaid. However, before you worry, Jio has announced new top-up vouchers which offer a predefined number of voice calls to other mobile networks and additional data as well.

Reliance Jio is endeavoring each conceivable way to influence customers that the IUC Top-Up vouchers it launched are since of the officeholder telcos. In recent weeks, Reliance Jio trolled Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea on social media by saying that it’s these two telcos who are reliable for the introduction of IUC vouchers. Reliance Jio is the single LTE-only operator in India, but Vodafone Idea and Bharti Airtel are GSM telcos with close to 70% of subscribers are still on 2G and 3G frameworks.

The Rs 10 top-up voucher offers 124 minutes of non-IUC calls to non-Jio mobiles along with 1GB free additional data. The Rs 20 top-up voucher bundles 249 minutes of calls along with 2GB of data, the Rs 50 voucher offers 656 minutes of calls to other mobile networks and 5GB of data while the Rs 100 voucher allows for 1,362 minutes of calls along with 10GB of additional data. These top-up packs will sit over and above your usual recharge or billing plan, to take advantage of the free calls these packs bundle—if you add any of these packs to your existing subscription, you will not be charged 6 paise per minute for these calls.

Having said, Reliance Jio has only introduced IUC charges and packs only for their prepaid segment. Though the company is offering a Postpaid plan of Rs 199 with Unlimited local, STD and Roaming calls across the country, 100 SMS  free per day and having a billing cycle of 30 days. The company is currently having a billing cycle until the 25th of every month. Now after the announcement of IUC Pack, Reliance JIo has released its postpaid bill and the company has not charged any IUC charges for the postpaid customer. Also for the Postpaid segment, till now the company has not introduced any special pack or charges neither on the company website or in MyJioApp.

For October 2019, Reliance Jio’s postpaid bill says, the customer has been charged only for the monthly rental and any additional service charge for mobile internet (if any). It means, calling to Non-Reliance Jio number has not been charged for the current month. We have also cross-checked the same from the company’s customer care service, and as per them as of now the IUC call or calls made to Airtel or Vodafone Idea numbers.
