According to an online report, Redmi has shared a post on the social networking site Weibo in China, revealing the launch date of the upcoming smartphone Redmi K40. This smartphone will be launched on February 25, the image of the phone has also been shared in the poster but it is covered. Recently Redmi general manager Lu Weibing had indicated through a teaser that the K40 will be given the world’s smallest punch-hole display design. The front panel of the phone will have a selfie camera at the top center.

The smartphone from Redmi will come with a starting price of CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 34,000), Weibing mentioned while confirming the February launch last month. However, exact pricing details of the new Redmi phone will be announced at the time of announcement later this month.

Weibing also recently confirmed that the K40 series will include Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. However, a recent report suggested that the Redmi K40 in the series could come with a sub-flagship SoC.
