When it comes to the design of its phones, Realme impressed everyone, even though most of its sub-Rs 15,000 phones feature a polycarbonate back
Realme X2 Pro will go official in India sometime in December, however, the phone will be launched in other markets like China and Europe on October 15. Yes, we will get the first glimpse of the Realme X2 Pro next week, but to purchase and use the handset, the Indian audience will have to wait a bit longer. Ahead of the launch, Realme Mobiles CEO, Madhav Sheth has posted an image of the Realme X2 Pro, which confirms the presence of 64MP quad-camera setup on the rear side.
Also, the image reveals an unusual placement of the logo just beside the four camera sensors on the back. Also, the phone looks exactly similar to the Oppo Reno Ace which went official earlier today in China. Numerous reports indicated that the Realme X2 Pro would be a rebranded version of the Oppo Reno Ace and today’s official image release also confirms the same, as far as design is concerned.
Realme X2 Pro Image Posted Online: What it Suggests?
When it comes to the design of its phones, Realme impressed everyone, even though most of its sub-Rs 15,000 phones feature a polycarbonate back. However, there’s something unusual we can see from the design of the upcoming Realme X2 Pro and it’s the logo placement. As you can see in the image, the Realme logo is placed next to the quad cameras on the back and it’s looking very odd, at least in the image posted by Madhav Sheth.
As for the back panel, the Realme X2 Pro looks precisely similar to the Oppo Reno Ace, including the camera module in the top center. This is not surprising considering Oppo is the parent company of Realme after all. Even in the past, OnePlus took design cues from several Oppo R series of phones. It will take some time for Realme as well to come with its own design for flagship phones, till then the flagships from Realme will look pretty much identical to those of Oppo.
Besides the odd logo placement, we can see the Realme X2 Pro featuring quad cameras on the back with the primary sensor being the 64MP Samsung GW1. There are no details regarding the functionality of the other three sensors right now.
Realme X2 Pro to Come in a 12GB+256GB Storage Variant
Earlier today, Realme officially confirmed on Weibo that its first flagship smartphone- Realme X2 Pro would arrive in a 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage variant. As noted, the Realme X2 Pro will most likely be a rebranded Oppo Reno Ace, so the specification will remain the same for the most part.
As for the Oppo Reno Ace, the phone rocks a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection, an in-display fingerprint scanner. The hardware side of things, the phone comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset, clubbed with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The Reno Ace will be available in a total of three variants- 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and a premium 12GB+256GB variant.
The phone is backed by a 4000mAh battery and has support for 65W fast charging technology. However, the Realme X2 Pro will get only 50W fast charging support, as confirmed officially by Realme Europe. The Reno Ace also has a quad-camera setup on the back, but the primary sensor is the 48MP Sony IMX586 we saw on several mid-range and flagship phones released this year. But the X2 Pro will have 64MP Samsung GW1 sensors like the Realme X2 and Realme XT smartphones.
India’s launch of the Realme X2 Pro is set for December and Oppo did not confirm anything about the arrival of Oppo Reno Ace to India.
