JioCall Setup Process on Smartphones Detailed
Aforesaid, Reliance Jio allows users to make voice calls for free on smartphones using the JioFixedVoice connection. For the unaware, Reliance Jio has an application called JioCall which acts as an alternate dailer on smartphones, but in this case, JioCall app allows users to register through the JioFixedVoice ten-digit landline number for making voice calls.
To get started, download the JioCall app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store for free. After downloading, give all the permissions required by the app to proceed further. The application will now provide three options at the first boot for the setup process- a Jio 4G SIM card, JioFi connection and Fixed landline service. If your smartphone lacks VoLTE service, you can choose the first option; If you want to make voice calls through your JioFi number, you can choose the second option, and lastly, if you have a JioFixedVoice service, you can click the third option to get started.
After hitting the Fixed option, ‘Tap on the SSID’ to register. The app will now require an OTP which will be sent to your JioFiber registered mobile number. You’re all set to make voice calls from your smartphone for free using the JioFixedVoice landline number. Reliance Jio is allowing users to set up JioCall app on six smartphones using the JioFixedVoice single number.
But there’s a small catch. The smartphone on which the JioCall app has installed should stay connected to the JioFiber router to make and receive free calls. This is one of its unique services from Reliance Jio and it’s pretty much similar to BSNL Wings as well.
